Ted Cruz is a liar & hypocrite. He's clearly on record telling other candidates what to do even though he doesn't intend to follow the same nonsense.

Trump’s domination may be death blow for Cruz, Kasich
Trump won 3% of the NY vote. That's not exactly a death blow.

So long for the voice of the people huh?
Tara Setmayer absolutely OBLITERATES Kayleigh McEnany’s Trump propaganda on ‘stolen’ election

Nope. Trump won 60.41%, and this was a closed primary. I predict he would have won even higher had it been open or partially open to independents.

Pure democracy. The people vote and the person with the most vote wins like any other country in the world.

Irrelevant of what Tara says, if she was smart, she would go with the people's vote.

I'm not a fan of Trump, cruz but Trump has gotten more vote than Cruz hands down, The whole idea that this is not enough for trump to win i.e. favored by republican voters since he is ahead, is Ludacris.

Make any excuse about how the system is set up bla bla, the people's votes are being ignored, way to go GOP. Like the GOP mafia said, we decide who we want.

But Mr. Trump might not reach 1,237 either. In that case, you got three guys who did not get the magic number, and they will keep voting at the convention until someone emerges with 1,237. What's wrong with that?

If Mr. Trump gets 1,237, then I am sure Cruz and Kaisch will immediately concede. That's fair.

Did you completely miss what was said, and the point of the OP?

Cruz said that every candidate should get out of the race if it is mathematically impossible for them to reach 1237. That now includes him. Obviously he is a hypocrite and liar.

And anti-religious bigots love to tell others how to live as well. Otherwise, why would you continue to demean Cruz because of his faith?

You know that Cruz said that when there was a path for the leading candidates to reach 1237. That time has passed and the only way to elect a nominee will be at a brokered convention.

Are you so afraid that Donald won't win that you think everyone else should just GIVE him the nomination, instead of making him EARN it like everyone else in the primary is required to do?

Do you live in the US? We are not a democracy. We do NOT have a "popular vote" to elect the President. Beyond that, what is going on right now is a PRIMARY election, where party members choose the candidate who will represent their party in the National Election. That means that the party gets to make the rules for how the nominee for THEIR party is determined. That also means that the local parties in ALL 50 states get to set the rules to nominate THEIR PARTY NOMINEE.

It is not time for cross over voters or sometime voters or whoever to vote in who they want regardless of party affiliation. This is the time for Democrat party MEMBERS and GOP party MEMBERS to determine their nominee.

NON PARTY MEMBER in some states get to assist the party by voting for who they like. That gives the PARTY information on who might be the most electable in the GENERAL election, but it is not meant as a means for Johnny-come-lately to have a say in who the PARTY NOMINATES.

No one is forced to run on the Democrat or Republican ticket, but if they chose to do so, they are ultimately at the hands of the DEMOCRAT/GOP PARTY MEMEBERS as to whether they will be the PARTY nominee.

That is why DELEGATES are elected during the PRIMARY, because DELEGATES are usually MEMBERS OF THE PARTY.
