This is probably going to do more to help Trump than to help Cruz. Think about how this helps build Trumps image as the non establishment candidate, which is exactly the reason why Trump can get the number of delegates he needs in the first place.
Cruz has lost ~80% of the primary vote. By your logic, he definitely can't win.
Furthermore the election can't be won by just Republicans voting. If the candidate can't attract independents and swing voters, they lose by a landslide. Cruz has demonstrated time and time again that he has no support among this segment of the electorate.
In essence, you are making argument for Hillary Clinton. Doesn't seem like a very "Republican" thing to do.
My logic has not been speaking to who can win. But I am quite confident that Ted Cruz has a better chance of beating Hillary Clinton in a general election contest than Donald Trump does, for whatever that is worth at this point. And as you know very well, the polls back me up on that point
As far as what is "Republican," Donald Trump really isn't, and as you have said in the past, neither are you. And if things work out the way that it appears that they might at the convention, a majority of the delegates there will agree with that assessment by refusing to endorse Trump as the Republican nominee.
In which case someone else will be the nominee. We all know who the top alternative candidate is, including you.
The posts above give us scary insight into the brains of Trump supporters.
Did you read the story today about the guy who was arrested for bomb threats at a Trump event? Those anti-Trump people are pretty scary too, don't you think?
Yes it is an opinion. At least I do not come out and lie through my teeth and insist otherwise, like certain other posters around here routinely do.
But it is not unsupported by fact, as you know that Trump has lost over 60% of the Republican primary vote and his approval ratings among Republicans are frequently quite weak.
I'm curious -- if Trump has lost 60% of the Republican vote and Cruz is has won only a few states (I don't count the Non-Citizen Votes as "wins") and way less delegates .....
Then what % of the Republican primary vote has Cruz lost????
