The fact that Trump feels the need to suggest that Sanders should run as an independent speaks volumes. If Trump has the general election in the bag, why does he even give a crap what Sanders does or doesn't do? It goes to show that Trump needs to try to undermine Hillary just to ensure himself a win.

Bernie never stood a chance with the rigged DNC primary. He should have known this before going in. The Super Delegates were never going to let him take the nomination.

Oh those wacky superdelegates. Amazing how they have given Hillary a lead of what will be back up to about 300 pledged delegates tonight.

Bernie is not losing because of superdelegates. Bernie is not losing because of the DNC. Bernie is losing because millions more voters have chosen Hillary over him.

LOL It doesn't show that. Trump only points out that Bernie was rooked by the DNC who want a bought and paid for career politician as the nominee. Someone controlled by Wall Street.

True, but his campaign was a success, because there is big pressure to change
the nomination process in both parties now. Thanks to Bernie and Trump.

Plus, we now know that a full-blown Socialist is a viable contender for the Presidency.
That was a big question mark until now. I could see Sanders with a strong running mate
gaining 20-35% of the vote. It's more than enough for a permanent third party to receive federal
election funds..

Bernie's main platforms are anti-hillary and anti-establishment, why would the majority of them instead vote for hillary? Imo it is moot for Trump either way, he is just giving his honest opinion.
