Yes, Carl Icahn is the greatest . . . . corporate raiders. I love how Mr. Trump sucks up to him by mentioning his name at each and every rally and event, and how Mr. Trump wants to appoint him to be the next treasury secretary . . . . what's macroeconomics?

So libs, if buffet has 100 high paying jobs open, since he is so smart and rich, you're fine with him filling these jobs with 100 white men if he feels they are most qualified?
As long as he is a Democrat all is ok.

I highly doubt that would even happen, as some of those most qualified candidates would be a mix of races and genders.

Never mind the numerous articles and studies that show that a diverse team usually performs better than a homogeneous team.

When it comes to politics I'm just as ignorant as the rest of the C-D posters.

So I have to make a decision based on who the really smart people are and who they support.

Do I take advice from all the Cliff Clavin's that post on C-D or do I take advise from arguably one of the smartest and most successful investors this country has ever known?

I lot of posters like Trump because he is very rich (we know that because he keeps telling us ) and he has grandiose plans that he has yet to explain.

I know Trumps money is just pocket change compared to Buffett and Gates money but those two are not running for president or telling us they have all the answers.

I think I'm gonna vote where the really smart money guys vote and that's not with Trump.

Their interests are not the same as your interests.

Here is the problem with your theory, "the smart money" goes wherever it is going to multiply the most.

Buffet is going to endorse whoever is going to do the most for Berkshire Hathaway, not for you or I. If you think for a minute that Buffet is looking out for you, you are falling or a scam. There is a reason he is so wealthy, and it's not by looking out for the little guy.

I don't like Buffett... but I agree with him that racial quotas in hiring are stupid.

No no no. Buffet is smarter and richer than the authors / publishers of those studies, so he must be correct - isn't that the premise of the thread?
