There are ties between Bill Clinton and Epstein. The Clinton camp is throwing this false allegation out there to neutralize the coming bombshells thrown at them about exactly what those ties are.
There is a newspaper article from years ago that I've linked to above that shows ties between Donald and Epstein. Donald indicates a 15 year friendship.

The Jill Harth lawsuit was dropped a month after it was filed. She said she was pressured to file it and withdrew it herself. At the same time, her husband was suing Trump for breech of contract and was using this false allegation as leverage so Trump would settle.
You know the old saying - where there's smoke, there's fire. I was very interested in supporting Herman Caine in the 2012. Then came the sexual assault allegations. The first couple I could excuse as likely disgruntled former employees, but then there was another one and another one and then finally the accusation and his admittance of loaning a woman substantial amounts of money without telling his wife. That was it for me.
Seems like this may be dirty political tactics, but the underlying allegations may still be true. Can you frame a guilty person?

Exactly right, very shameful and people are so desperate. They are out in full force against Trump. Nothing will stop him, and this is just a smokescreen for Bill Clinton's past transgressions which DID happen.
Katie Johnson claims in court documents that the New York billionaire forced her to “engage in various perverted and depraved sex acts by threatening physical harm to (Johnson) and her family.”
