3rd world policies like his tariffs will lead to the highest unemployment rate since the Great Depression. Maybe this country deserves it. Stupid gets as stupid does.

How do tariffs cause unemployment here? That makes zero sense. If anything they will make the prices of imported stuff the same as buying something produced here thus increasing sales of locally produced products, increasing employment here in this country. Stop listening to the sour grapes people like Mark Levin and all other Cruz supporters and Lefties.

While I don't agree with the conclusion of the poster you were responding to, tariffs do create unemployment. The reason is retaliatory tariffs. This affects products which are exported because they are currently competitive on the world market. If other countries impose tariffs, those products are no longer competitive internationally. Jobs are lost.

So companies which were competitive internationally have to cut back production and because of tariff protection companies which cannot compete internationally increase production. That's not a healthy situation with long term consequences.

Sure, I can see the argument for tariffs short term if job gains exceed job losses but it's a bandaid, not a real solution to unemployment long term.

I just don't understand how anyone could vote for this guy. Outside of his rants and big bolsterist talk are vague policies that will destroy the country in a few short years. His brand of nationalism is very similar to that of the Dear Leader's of North Korea who have completely destroyed their country. As South Korea has thrived, North Korea is a flaming pile of poo.

Hahaha...I said the same thing 8 years ago, and was called a racist. And here we are

This is the second gravedig today. Are you running out of anti-Trump misinformation to spread, and decided to recycle the old stuff?

So you are saying that if we put a tariff on things imported from NK other countries will do it to us just because? I doubt that. Anyway, what do we export anyway? Nothing but our food which we don't have to do anyway. Again though, what does NK export that we need or want? Why would we be doing business with them in the first place? Let's talk China for a second, what do they import from us that they could counter tariff? If doing it this way is such a bad idea it's time to get rid of these trade agreements then because they don't serve a meaningful purpose for us and are unworkable.

If ever there was a perfect illustration of low information voters, the Trump cult is it.
The biggest thing of all is that after Trump loses the election, all these people will still be around and they'll be madder than they are right now. Anger breeds hate and hate breeds violence. Our country is in for rough goings which ever way the election goes.
