Sure, 7% of TOTAL delegates. But not total of what someone needs to get the nomination. Hillary has 85% of the 2026 required to get a majority of pledged delegates. Bernie has only 70% and he needs 105% of what's left to get a majority. Obviously that won't happen..
Wrong again.
Total pledged delegates needed to win nomination = 2,383
Hillary 1717 pledged delegates.
(1717/2382) x 100 = 72%
Hillary has 72% of delegates needed to win nomination.

False. 2383 is total of ALL delegates, not pledged delegates. There has never been any requirement that a candidate needs a majority of both superdelegates and pledged delegates that comes solely from pledged delegates.

Good Grief, Confused? Try reading the title.
If a candidate is to win without help from the Super Delegates, then they will need Total of 2383 "Pledged Delegates" from the primaries and caucuses.
Obviously Hillary is such a flawed and weak candidate she isn't going to win enough primaries and caucuses to do this. So the Super Delegates will insure the win for her.
As a Republican, I dont follow Democratic primaries that closely. Doesn't pretty much every candidate need at least some super delegates? When was the last a Democratic candidate won the nomination outright with no super delegates? I think you have to go back pretty far.
Hillary has 72% of the delegates while Bernie has 60%
