if sanders won id vote for him but neither clinton nor trump do nothing for me and i dont believe the lesser of 2 evil votes.

i also dont really see much different between the two, which is good for me since i lean left.

the two selections though couldnt be much worse.

I'm voting 3rd Party. I don't want them to think I just wanted to sleep in and watch TV all day so I didn't vote. I want everyone to know I disliked both parties' candidates so much that I'd rather throw away my vote by voting for someone I knew couldn't win than of vote for either of them.

They don't care about you. Whether you vote or not makes no difference whatsoever. Stay home, drink, smoke drugs, feel like you matter.

I am showing up at the polls and voting on the ballot issues only at this point but that could change.

for the most part its something that is supposed to give the illusion of power to the people, but i tend to agree that voting is pointless for the most part.

the famous quote if voting mattered they wouldnt let you do it comes to mind.

all the major movements, civil rights, etc. were done outside of government by the grass roots.

voting for someone has never done anything for anyone.

Well....

If you don't vote, then you have no reason to complain. You have willingly accepted the status quo decided by others.

Voting 3rd party, write in, etc. if for nothing else than a protest vote, is better than not voting at all.

Vote against your won party if you think they have corrupted the nomination process.

Can't blame you for not wanting to vote for either, but don't rule out a third party candidate. Politics1.com has a list of political parties and those running. And once the primaries are over and your state has it's new sample ballot ready to view online (mine will be located at my county's Board of Elections website), you can see which candidates you'll have to chose from and do research on them and their party before voting. I've been looking at third parties for years hoping one would catch my fancy, but they just haven't been good enough. Although I am considering voting for the Constitution Party's candidate over Hillary or Trump.

For those who believe not voting means a person has to no right to complain, I wholeheartedly disagree. If you believe every candidate is a terrible choice pulling the lever (or punching the screen) for any of them doesn't seem like a viable option. I'm more inclined to say that if you vote for someone who wins, like Barry Obama for example, and he or she turns out to be the worst President in our country's history, again Barry for example, then you have no right to complain because you helped elect them.

jaguars, I'm guessing you're fairly young as that's where much of Sanders' support lies. My suggestion is, if you haven't already, research what Socialism and Communism has done to countries who have had that system in place. Bernie has paraded himself as a Socialist at times, then a Social Democrat to be more palatable to voters, but I believe he's a Communist at heart. Just look at where he took his honeymoon, for example. Research what happened to Russia/The Soviet Union after Communists took over the country under the reigns of Lenin and Stalin. Millions were killed or starved to death.

Young people in this country are gravitating towards Socialism and possibly even Communism due to the extremely unfair system we have in regards to wages, lack of jobs due to off-shoring, high cost of higher education, foreigners getting way too many billets in our medical and technology fields in our colleges, tens of millions of immigrants (legal and illegal) in our workforce, etc., etc., etc. The power does not lie with the people in this country, it lies with corporate lobbyists controlling our politicians and political system in general. The way to change it is not with a Bernie Sanders type, but either with taking over one of the two corrupt ruling parties we have now, or a with a new political party which is my preference.

Just my opinion(s), of course.

Why don't you just write a candidate in and call it a day?

You're correct -- the last thing we need is Sanders' economic policies. Sanders' most ardent supporters would likely suffer the most under his reign as they're younger and less experienced in the labor force (plus have the most amount of life ahead of them(.

The solution is to reduce the size and scope of the federal government. This means less spending, fewer entitlements (phasing out ones that exist), massive layoffs of federal employees, closing of agencies, reduced regulations, lower taxes, simplified tax code.

Short of a ban on lobbying (which I support), the way to reduce the lobbyists' influence is to shrink the government so it has less access to sell and influence to peddle. In my opinion, the only way to really improve would be a massive reduction in government, which will never happen. As such, we'll just continue to decline -- glad I don't have children!
