What's dishonest about the media holding Mr. Trump accountable for something he has gloated about? That's after 5 months of Mr. Trump expressly refusing to provide accounting and providing numbers that don't jive, and so on. Never once did I hear the media accusing him of stealing the money . . . . it was more of the campaign's inability to follow up and be detail oriented.

Five months ago, Trump said that he "gave" (past tense) $1,000,000 to veterans groups. According to the vet groups, it wasn't received. The day after reporters came to Trump and asked him about HIS donation, Trump "pledged" a million dollars. We still don't know that Dishonest Donald actually gave his donation -- or will. He may just renege on this promise like he reneges on other promises.
Perhaps if the press was more patient in waiting for the money to be distributed rather than all the reports about how he is not giving the money to the vets, how he only raised 1.8 million, and all of the other false stories, then maybe he wouldn't have called them dishonest.
Is it your assertion that there weren't many politically motivated negative news articles about this issue?
If it is, a quick Google search will prove differently.
Five months isn't enough time? Maybe they should have waited until after November.
The usual diarrhea of the mouth from Trump. He couldn't even read the list of donations without stopping over and over to talk about how wonderful he was.
Then he starts calling people losers, fools and crazy. His groupies will be besides themselves with joy. They do love the verbal diarrhea and the mean-girl name calling.
The media and Hillary wanted to know and have been asking how much he raised and where it went.
Today Trump answers and they don't like the way he answered. It makes all those who questioned and implied there was something improper look like fools.

He held up a copy of his check the press conference.
It really must cause you pain to give him credit for doing something good.

I'm from a military family and am married to Vietnam combat vet. I wanted to know how much money was raised and where it went. Since Trump was not forthcoming.....I relied on the press to find out. Trump was silent for months then went off on the press for doing their job. For that...they get called names by a guy who thinks he's a special snowflake who should be above scrutiny.
And his groupies continue to make excuses for a guy who acts like a self-centered six-year-old with no self control.
He chose some worthy charities. (At least one is "iffy" and has been investigated for giving more money to fund-raisers than vets.) He should have treated the occasion with dignity, or released the information on-line, instead of turning it into his usual "Look at meeeeeee!" circus of name-calling and foot-stomping.

And you still have no dam clue where half the money from the Clinton Foundation came from, who the thousands of are that donated and other details, but YOU DONT CARE.
All too many of the Kool Aid drinkers are missing the main point, we're observing how our potential president handles adversity. Unfortunately, at least so far, Trump is a brawler, his defensive posture is to come back with adolescent pejoratives. I have to ask how he might handle delicate diplomatic situations, although his ardent followers call it political correctness, diplomacy is expected by serious world leaders. To be taken seriously, you have to behave seriously. Nobody wants to destroy the oligarchy we're under more than me, but Trump's behavior is really disquieting.

They actually had until December to distribute it..
