We haven't been losing. Have you seen other 9/11 style attacks in the USA? NO! There have been major terrorist attacks all around the world and we have been very fortunate here that we haven't had a major attack in nearly 20 years.

The notion that we shouldn't listen to experts in the intelligence community, who have spent their life studying intelligence and defense details that either of us could only guess at, and instead, elect a neophyte who doesn't listen to experts or generals, is like choosing to have my heart transplant performed -- not by the leading Harvard Medical heart specialist, but by a real estate developer that hasn't built anything since the 1980s.

What could possibly go wrong?

Oh, besides, I don't know what you think we are losing.

People like you would pull people off the street and make them Generals in the military. "Hey you! Want to be a General? The pay is good!"

I thought Trump's response was ridiculous. What's he going to do? Go shopping at Walmart if we have a major terrorist attack because "that's unpredictable"? He's an IDIOT!!!!!

Thats great if nobody in DC will work with or for Trump and they all leave and go home. Maybe Trump is what is needed to clean house and make all those rats.. urrr career politicians scurry.

They are all threatened by Trump and his power and ability to call people out and this is why they are worried like heck to keep him out. Heck Obama wouldn't know what to do either in a major attack and George Bush sat there reading a child's book with a dumb look on his face when told the country was under attack.. and he sat there and sat there...

The response from Trump is not only ridiculous is predictable from a person who has no idea what the correct response should be. Traditionally, the response has been predictable -- to find out the persons, organizations and countries responsible for such acts and hold them responsible by capturing and killing those responsible and disrupting the terrorist network. I don't see why a predictable response like that isn't superior to a wild unpredictable response -- except that it avoids Trump from stating what action he would take.

Trump is so far above your level of thinking its amazing for someone so self described and "smart" that you can't see it. His answer is purposely driven to cause reaction from those like you who then spend a lot of time and energy talking about how stupid Trump is all the while Trumps name is all over the news and internet for free. Even if its bad press its still free press and he is laughing all the ways to the polls. It's Trump this ..Trump that,, did you hear what Trump said... Did you hear what Trump did... Trump Trump Trump

At the end of the day Trump is no different than any other person elected to president because once in office he will have to listen to military and legal advisors and they will suggest the best course. He will then act on that advice and better than Hillary will. After all Hillary lost several people in Benghazi and that wasn't even a major terrorist attack on US soil.

Richard Clarke has impeccable credentials, served under presidents in both parties, warned those idiots Bush and Rice of the impending 9/11 attacks which those 2 asses ignored and the only person in the Bush WH to apologize to the families of the victims of 9/11. He's a very good judge of character because of his experience and his worldwide knowledge of all the players in the world of terrorism, excellent author, if he says Trump is unqualified you can take that to the bank.I recommend, if anyone's interested, reading his factual book Against all enemies.

and

Richard Clarke, who lead the Clinton transition team regarding threats to our national security, the the man who was ignored by GW's administration when he tried to warn about Bin Laden and the very real threat of al Qaeda.

You obviously didn't listen to the interview. According to Clarke, none of the "best people" want to work for Trump. Trump is impulsive and doesn't listen.

I see no great evidence that Mr. Trump is 'far above my level of thinking' -- except for his self-aggrandizing pronouncements. Trump is clearly a legend in his own mind but it doesn't mean the rest of us need to accept that at face value without any evidence.

The difference between Trump and others who have held the office of president is that others have been willing to listen to those that are experts and know the material. Trump thinks he not only knows but knows better than those who have spent a career doing it.
