Will it be any of these? Who would benefit him most?

Trump should go for broke and name Putin as his running mate. This would be a conservative's wet dream.

The all tyrants ticket, "Make America Great Again, Re-live the Cold War!"

Rick Scott would be perfect. With his grace and charm and Trump's grace and charm, that'd be a real explosive pair!

I still like John McCain for VP. After that Jeff Sessions is a good choice, though Scott Brown isn't a bad idea. He should stay away from anyone he campaigned with...too many ready-made attack ad opportunities.

Why in the world would John McCain be interested in being his VP?

Donald likes people that 'didn't get caught'.

out of that list Kasich or Gingrich seem most likely...

I'm going with Gingrich. He's about as knowledgeable as anyone on the areas where Trump said he wanted a V.P. to be.

Ted Nugent -- none of those Girlie Men listed above. I'm sure Ted's available.

Gingrich is too interested. I vote "No." He's yesterday. He is not the choice but I could live with it if he is picked. I'd give him a consultant job title.

Christie would be fine with me but honestly, I'd rather see him as Attorney General, a job I think is more important than VP. I like his no-nonsense demeanor for that job. I think he'd be wasted as VP. But, didn't I read that Trump paid off his campaign debt?

Scott Brown Maybe. Wouldn't get excited one way or another. Maybe his daughter will perform at the convention.

Jeff Sessions - I like him best of everyone on the list mostly because he was on the Trump train, early. He'd be loyal and he'd help Trump a lot with Congress.

Paul LePage - No. No he won't be the pick and no, I don't want him to be. Maine was the only NE state that went for Cruz.

Mike Huckabee is okay but I don't think he would carry any states that Trump wouldn't carry without him and I don't see how he would help with Capitol Hill.

John Kasich - No. He's a hothead. I think he might tick off more people than help Trump once in office. If he was from any other state than Ohio he wouldn't be considered. I don't like that he played footsies with Romney, either.

Rick Scott - Okay but if people say they aren't interested, I'd believe them.

Sarah Palin - No. Too much baggage but I like Todd. Her daughter is a hot mess.

Bob Corker - HEY! Someone agrees with me. This is the first time I've seen him on anyone's VP list other than my own. On paper, he's the perfect complement to Trump. Not only does he have a construction and real estate business background and golf which would give both men something to bs about during down time but he heads the important Foreign Relations Committee which could be helpful to Trump both running against Hillary and governing. Plus, Corker is in with the in crowd on Capitol Hill and could pave the way for Trump's legislation. Unknown, is whether the two men like each other. Also, like Huckabee, Corker would not add any new states that Trump doesn't already have.

Jan Brewer - I like her. VP, not sure. Head of Homeland Security if Rudy doesn't want it, yes.

Marco Rubio - At one time, I thought he would be the perfect VP. He's young enough to run again, would get the executive experience he lacks and he'd actually have a job. Trump would get someone who is knowledgeable and who ironically has demonstrated, with his Gang of 8 history, that he can work with both Democrats and Republicans. Now, I don't think so. His judgment in not endorsing Trump, saying he won't run for Governor and quitting the Senate with no apparent job lined up, makes me say "no." He's going to wind up a lobbyist for the open borders guys, I'll bet.

Mary Fallin - Never heard of her until all of the VP talk. No opinion.

Rob Portmann - Zzzzzzz. Maybe that would make him a good VP but I doubt if he'd get anyone up off the couch to vote for the ticket because he's on it.

My List addition is former Senator now head of The Heritage Foundation - Jim DeMint.

Kasich is the only one on that particular article's list that I feel could offer net-positive results for Trump. I would add that Joni Ernst may be worth examining at this point, given that Governors Martinez and Haley have expressed no interest in a VP position.

I could see Newt Gingrich fill the roles of either Secretary of State or Secretary of Defense (in that order), given his educational and working career history.
