I didn't see it, but you are describing the same sort of behavior as when Hitler rose to power.
Adulation for a politician in of itself is not a sign Trump's success is reminiscent of Hitler's.
Hitler was demented: transported Jews (or others he considered undesirable) and opponents to camps, invaded other countries against signed treaties, sent his troops to kill and violently take property.
Your inference is nothing but fear mongering and lies.
There is nothing wrong with a healthy dose of nationalistic sentiment--the problem is when a political leader goes to sick levels of extreme, like Hitler.

Not in and of itself, no, but it's spooky that the very same behavior by the same downtrodden, uneducated (for the most part) lower classes who respond to his anti-foreign rhetoric are the same type of people who started throwing coal into the furnace that is the Trump train.

I didn't see you on Jeopardy !!! What claim of intelligence are you providing with proof of superiority. Opinion only of the rattled.

It's spooky there are adults in the United States who could seriously draw a parallel to ANY political candidate running for President and Hitler. It speaks to a complete lack of history knowledge and the capacity of critical thought, or more likely what one does who absolutely refuses to acknowledge the issues of today and how the candidates will actually address them.
This topic is about Trump's speech at the Energy Conference. Not one of Trump's detractors, as usual, has addressed anything he actually said. But I guess I don't blame them. A Hillary supporter would be quite dismayed at how well that went for Trump. Hence talk of Hitler.

Starry-eyed supporters can be found fluttering among just about any candidate, purportedly educated people's minds can turn to mush too--unfortunately.

I'm not the one who needs to be super-intelligent (though I am). The President does need to have a high IQ and has to speak well extemporaneously, especially to explain policies. There should not be a necessity for a teleprompter. S/he also should have a good sense of humor and be able to handle the press conferences without going off like a loose cannon if s/he does not like the questions asked. POTUS should never belittle anyone such as "The Donald" has on numerous occasions. He doesn't like the message? He shoots the messenger. What a wimp.
He has neither the class nor the temperament to lead this country effectively.

I do not disagree with that statement; however, I think the extent to which it is occurring with Donald Trump, especially when he is at his most negative and most boisterous, is disconcerting.
He looks down on "the little people." It's really a pity that they do not realize it.
He has very poor family values, just cheats on his wives, divorces them for someone younger and perhaps prettier, and doesn't even seem to like American women. How is that pro-American? You really want another of his Eastern European women as First Lady?
You're just jealous of his attractive wife and successful kids.

Curious you say this about Trump when it's absolutely not true, then seemingly have no issue at all with the imperious nature of Hillary Clinton's campaign.
BTW, the topic is about Trump's speech at the energy conference. Did you watch it?
What's truly a pity is the twaddleheaded who think crooked clinkton stands for them (or, frankly, Sanders).
