What would be the effects of a Mitt Romney Third party run this november? any estimates on how he would poll nationally and statewide?

They'd see him as a ¡Jeb!, and he'd poll like one: between 3%-6%. And that's optimistic--there would be the additional disadvantage of being recognized as a spoiler who is deliberately injected into the race.

Winter and Spring proved the electorate is done with Bushes, Romneys.

Attached is a list of the filing deadline in the remaining available states and petition requirements.

It's really hard to see how a candidate could get on a lot of states at this late date. A key deadline is Florida on July 15th with about 117,000 signatures required. That's a state where a Bush favored independent could totally wreck Trump in Florida and possibly seal the race for the Democrats. That's also the state where longtime Republican insider Mac Stiponavich wrote an open letter in the Tampa Trib asking for Republicans to refrain from voting for Trump. Also, the Cuban Republicans of Miami-Dade have been very reluctant to get on the Trump train.

If this is more than hot air on Bill Kristol's part, they need to get off the snide and get to work.

I love Billy Kristol! He was great in "Analyze This."

Republican voters would understand the Party might as well dissolve the GOP after that. The 'neo' parasite seizing its host until the very end.

The provocation's organizers would know the disunited, bifurcated aftermath is subsequently powerless, marginalized, even 4, 8, years later.

^^^ This. And he'd only have to do so in the swing states if his intent is to prevent a Trump victory that he (Romney) fears would cripple the party for years to come. Knocking out Trump now would enable party leaders to begin rebuilding for the 2018 midterms and the 2020 Presidential.

There's still plenty of time to file Independent in most of the swing states.

Right, the newly awake, populist electorate wouldn't remember that at all. Just like it forgot how Bushneys effed the Party up and sold it out over the past three decades.

I am one of the guys that shunned the 'establishment' R's due to my deep displeasure with their actions during the Bush and Obama years. Running Romney is only gonna ***** me (and I assume others like me) off more. What they really need to do is clean up their act and make us believe they will DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY WILL!!!!!
