I think it started out that way-but Trump began to want to win as soon as he began receiving 24/7 attention on MSM.
It's weird how nobody is talking about how close Trump and the Clintons are. Bill spoke with Donald before his Presidential bid telling him to "play a larger role in GOP politics".

So that explains it. Trump agreed to run as GOP and play a buffoon to throw the election to Hillary?
Trump may come off as a clown, but he would never willingly agree to play that part. He's way too arrogant to agree to look like an idiot or play the fool to help the Dems.
