It’s easy to forget, but when it comes to campaigns for national office, we’ve really only seen one side of Hillary Clinton: the primary version. In 2007 and 2008, Clinton was a high-profile presidential candidate, but she was running against Barack Obama. In 2015 and 2016, she’s been very active on the trail, but her rival thus far has been Bernie Sanders.
In her excellent new piece, New York’s Rebecca Traister noted last week, “We have not yet experienced Hillary Clinton as a general-election candidate, permitted to fight without one hand tied behind her back. We’ve only seen her in tough primaries, her natural base of support divided in its loyalties, pitted against beloved men with good politics – men she could not hit too hard, lest her negative words ever be used against them and their losses laid at her feet.”
As the Democratic race wraps up, and Clinton no longer feels the need to hold back against her opponent, we’re going to see a qualitatively different kind of candidate – one that seems far more inclined to punch her rival in the teeth.
It is beyond time to call out Trump and his racist supporters.
"When a faithfully married black president who was the son of a single-mother, the first black editor of Harvard Law review and a professor of constitutional law is considered unintelligent, immoral, and anti-American by the right while a xenophobic, misogynistic, "serially philandering", trust fund kid who quotes from the National Enquirer, peddles conspiracy theories, routinely calls women ugly and fat, calls McCain a loser for having been a prisoner of war, and who has advocated torture and the bombing of women and children has captured the hearts of a majority of Republicans. This is white supremacy folks. Plain and simple."

Yes, she absolutely did. And she's just getting started. She's still dealing with Bernie and his supporters. When she becomes the candidate, her polls will go up, the president (whose polls are rising), Michelle Obama, Bill Clinton, Joe Biden and her VP will be campaigning for her as well.
Trump has had a yuge head start, but has squandered it by remaining immature, yelling stupid insults and bashing federal judges because of Mexican heritage (and in the process alienating his GOP support as well as the 'big donors'). So while Hillary is on the rise, Trump is on the downhill, because of his own 'authenticity'.

First off, the OP thread title is misleading..Hillary is not "against Trump" She would have to be the Democratic nominee to be that...she is against Sanders..a 70 year old hippies communist whom she has a great deal of time defeating.
Hillary makes one tepid speech that the MSM pretends to swoon over and suddenly Dems have tingles up and down their legs. Folks, it wasn't that great a speech. Forget Pulitzers Prizes, the MSM should all win Oscars for faking it.

Yes, but when she does, it will be a real win because of real competition, not the Cruz-Rubio-Kasich fizzle win because they dropped out. The Dem primary rules are tougher than the GOP rules that resulted in a nominee many don't really want to support.

Tepid? What was 'tepid' about it? Why do you think the MSM are 'pretending?' Many of them have been harshly critical of Hillary in the past. Mika hates Hillary, but raved about the speech. She doesn't gratuitously do that.
I did see a few weak attempts to criticize her from the right-wing media, but for the most part--silence. Trump didn't even bother to defend himself. I think he's run through his song list and is recycling the same old crap. Not a very creative guy. Lol--he's still bashing the judge and frankly sounded insane in his interview with Jake Tapper. I'm building a wall...I'm building a wall!
Hate to tell you, but that "Folks, it wasn't that great a speech" sounds suspiciously like Trump. So are you channeling him or working for him?
