Good. We need a president who gets tough as needed. Not some phony who talks tough but can't man up enough to even pay the bills stacked up on his desk. For years.

Reminds me of how unpopular George W was painted by the media in 2004 and he still beat John Kerry. He had something like a 48% disapproval rating heading into the election. I actually voted for Kerry and was surprised by the outcome.

The more things change, the more they DON'T stay the same.

Dukakis was up big in 1988 and didn't win. But I just looked at the calendar and it's not 1988 anymore.

Immature and classless are his faults. Do not care if he has a billion dollars and eats lobster every night it does not give him class.

Yes, it is JUST like that--except Trump is at 70% disapproval and free falling, no money or staff for a campaign, and lacks the endorsement of his own party. If you discount absolutely everything else, it is just like it was in 2004.

This has NOTHING to do with 2004... an incumbent (bush-2) who admittedly had to learn on the job but had 4 years experience vs trump... a many times bankrupt shady business person who stiffs his suppliers and workers for years. They couldn't have less in common. Plus there was the whole "don't change horses in midstream" plea about Iraq and Afghanistan...even though bush still had to have the voting machine guy rig the Ohio results for him to pull it out.

trump is not within light years of dirty tricks even being able to help him and since the party is turning on him, they aren't going to do anything for him anyway... the way he keeps giving them the "go it alone" verbal middle finger.

I find it hard to believe that Trump has a 29% favorability rating instead of a 29 people favorability rating.
