The SCOTUS was created by the founding fathers as a branch of government. They are approved by the Senate and many are brilliant minds in the field of law. They dont vote using fleeting emotions like the ones Trump supporters have

He can appoint judges to change that though

the 14th amendment was passed for race. Not sexual orientation......you can't have 2 set of laws or standards based on race...that's why the 14th amendment was debated, voted and passed.

If you want to make another amendment for gay marriage or sexual orientation or add it to the 14th amendment then do it but don't make things up.

Judges are not supposed to legislate or create new law....the 14th amendment was passed after the Civil War to deal with the former Black Slaves so states wouldn't have 2 set of laws or standards based on race....it wasn't for sexual orientation.

what are you talking about, the worst decisions in our country came from the Supreme Court from slavery being a constitutional right, school segregation which took them a long time to get it right, putting in prison Americans with NO due process during WW 2, women's right and the list is long....for you to say the S.C. are "brilliant" minds that get it right its a joke and really show you really haven't read the SC decisions since this country's foundation.

The S.C. justices most of the time are political arm of the people that put them there.

yeah that work so well with Justice Kennedy and Roberts.

and by the way, voting on emotion and passing laws on emotions is what the left does all the time from gun control and expanding the welfare system. Obama's supporters are a good example, any gun violence they come out pushing gun control based on emotions that will do nothing to prevent gun crimes.

Trump will work out just fine and help take the House and Senate away from the GOP.

if you don't think that what goes on the Mexican border of millions of Alien breaking our laws and the drugs and violence from the drug cartels that are pouring to our poor and middle class communities and the criminals from a culture that accepts that its ok for an adult to have sex with minors then you are very clueless and live in the bubble to the primitive cultures that pours in here from other cultures. Maybe you should talk to the families of victims of Illegal Alien criminals who defy deportation not only 1, 2 or 3 times, a lot defy deportation over 5 times. Since the media doesn't report anything on that.....the only thing they report 24/7 with a hammer is if whitey does a crime to a black then its a national tragedy.

But the drug cartels from Mexico and Central America who are pretty much are terrorists who have control of the government of Mexico and they pour their poison and violence to our communities here which causes lots of problems for the taxpayers and lowering wages for our working class and raising the welfare rolls that is no concern to you and the liberals. Everything is fine. Lets allow anybody in because if we don't we must be racist.

Trump a dictator?????? LMAO!!!! You really need to take U.S. History. Check out FDR 16 years in power and his executive decisions and comeback here and complain about Trump....I never heard of any Democrat Liberal call FDR a dictator but here you are making silly statements with no evidence to back it up.
Give me a break. I LIVE NEAR THE BORDER and the racist garbage like you just spewed is utter nonsense designed to simply frighten people into "making America white again". If AMERICANS didn't WANT drugs, cartels wouldn't PROVIDE drugs. The GOP has become a cesspool of white supremacy. Trump as finally laid that bare for all to see.
I'm wayyyyyyyyyyy safer here than I was wayyyyyyyyy north up in the PNW.

Yup. GOP control of the Senate is in BIG trouble. They'll PROBABLY keep the House but should definitely lose ground there - and of course he'll cost them any shot at the Presidency.

If the GOP loses the Senate, it will easily be retaken in 2018. The map is just as bad for Democrats in 2018 as it is for Republicans in 2016. And the House isn't going anywhere.

No, I want regulations. I suppose that it is good they are fighting that fight in congress. But I hate abortion politics in national elections. It's distracting and very polarizing, and a president can't really do anything about it anyway. Even if the balance of the Supreme Court went very conservative, I don't think making it illegal would stop it. I'd rather them limit the fight to making it safer and limiting it to the first 20 weeks except in the case of life or death of the mother. And pro-life people can continue to protest it and try to persuade women not to have them.

The federal government has no business in telling the states how to define marriage and pull out of their a$$es that gay marriage is covered in the 14th amendment when the 14th amendment was never debated, voted and passed to cover marriage or gay marriage.

these are issues that belongs for the states not 9 un-elected political judges voting on their feelings and shoving their opinions on morality on the people.

Ben Shapiro explains this perfectly:

By the way, Trump is not touching abortion or gay marriage because a President has NOTHING to do with that. He can say his opinions but a President can't create laws or rule a law unconstitutional. So pandering excessive for either side is just hypocritical.
I really don't have a problem with same sex marriage, and it's no one's business but the people involved. Gay marriage isn't going to destroy the institute of marriage. If people think it's a sin, then that's their problem.

People have been engaging in homosexuality since the beginning of time. Whether it's a choice or a birth defect, who cares what people do in this regard? I believe some people are born with it and others choose it, but either way I don't care. People also choose to be swingers or porn stars, but it doesn't affect me one way or the other. Let it go already.

Default What do you think of the Republicans giving Trump the nomination?

It's a natural.

For quite a few years, the GOP has courted the extreme low-info right. So, this whole Trump phenomenon is something that is entirely self-inflicted. Nothing Trump as said is far removed from Republican "mainstream" talking points.

Federal goverment or States should not tell who people can or cannot marry, cannot tell people they can't have an abortion, and that being gay or transgender is illegal.

Goverment should do is (Most of this already is legal/sanctioned/other jargon by the Goverment) make abortion with no restrictions and stem cell research a Constitutional Ammendment. However, should add it is the position of the State to ensure other resources are available so these individuals can make the best decision.

Federal/State/Local government designated areas and workers shouldn't discriminate against, hinder services, and make locations accommodate LGBT individuals. Additionally, this should apply to public schools and public colleges. Finally non profit healthcare providers must provide care to all. Private healthcare providers can select who they provide care to outside of emergency care and what services they offer.

Abolish the death penalty.

The States should tax and provide universal healthcare.

Should legalize marijuana and prostitution.
