The EU is not a Republic, but much more like a Confederacy.....a loosely tied together independent group of states. It has zero chance of surviving long term since each European country has it's own history, culture and is looking out for it's own well being. The smart Europeans countries are the ones that never joined the EU to begin with. Add to this that they don't want to be puppets of Germany which practically controls the EU.

"GO TRUMP" take a victory lap
Trump had nothing to do with it. His ridiculous victory laps are embarrassing.

Don't buy a ticket to sit in the bleachers and cheer or boo. The victory lap will be on a track covered with road kill democrats who wondered what happen. So sure the people would continue to buy the same old BS they were selling for the last 60 years.

^ this. The reality is that the EU is on it's way out. If Scotland leaves the UK for EU handouts than they will eventually be up ****'s creek. They might as well just stay British. Furthermore, why should Scotland become "independent" only to be lorded over by Brussels? That's exchanging one ruler for another. The only reason some in Scotland want "independence" is because they are butthurt that the Conservative Party demands fiscal accountability and responsible spending. That's why they are always whining about Thatcher, because she would not let them spend like drunken sailors and get bailed out by English taxpayers.

This whole Brexit is pointless, just stick around and let the EU die a natural death. No need to break up the UK.

We will see! Voting for Clinton Nonsense.

However if you choose Clinton you will see open boarders, our rights be reduced, and our country losing Industry.

Clinton is anti energy (coal) and there are many life long dems may have a different out come in the Mining and drilling states. Energy!

Trumpians and Brexiters are literally one and the same.
This will, most likely, lead to a recession in Britain. How deep and how serious -- who knows? It's not going to bring jobs back to Britain.

He completely ignores the fact the pound sinking will hurt them, but points out how it will profit him.

He doesn't even listen to questions--just talks over everyone. It's scary how out there in his own little world he is--unbelievable.

"QUESTION: ...Should Scotland leave the U.K., as many people are talking about?"

TRUMP: Yeah. I think I see a big parallel. I think people really — I think people really see a big parallel. A lot of people are talking about that, and not only the United States, but other countries...

QUESTION: And how would your administration approach the Brexit, and getting the question of Scottish....

TRUMP: Yeah, you just have to embrace it. It's will of the people. You know, it's not a question of approaching it. It's the will of the people. It's always the will of the people. Ultimately that wins out.

QUESTION: And would you like to see — should Scotland leave, sir?
(CROSSTALK)
QUESTION: ... impact of what is taking operation here in Britain? The markets are...

TRUMP: Right. Well, nobody knows. Look, if the pound goes down, they're going to do more business. You know, when the pound goes down, more people are coming to Turnberry, frankly."

Unfortunately, it could also lead to a recession here as well. Chain reaction trade.

Younger Brits feel like their future has been stolen and they have lost all kinds of opportunities. Guess the older xenophobic Brits are hoping to re-open the mines and revert to the depressed industrial cities that the younger generation fled.
