The one thing we can take from this election season is polls are simply unable to be accurate.

Stocks are controlled by people. People get reactive, just like this. It's to be expected. Big news, big reactions, big stock changes, rinse and repeat.

Honestly, none of this is gonna change things all that much for Britain or anywhere else.

Why? Because the economic forces of globalization will not change; they are pretty much impermeable so long as you subscribe to capitalism-based trade. The jobs will not come back to the UK, same as they won't come back here. EU may disintegrate and Europe may find itself to more isolationism and greater internal conflict like back in the days that gave us WWI and WW2...but globalization is not gonna change whether UK is in EU or out.

All you say is true -- but short term, Britain is probably facing a recession/depression due to this. Their money just hit a 35 year low, which is really bad.

I wish you well too.

Do you think Obama will resign ?

Maybe crooked Hillary will ask Trump is she can be his VP. She would make another first. First female VP. She could find some old photos of the wedding and send them to Trump and apologize for eating all the cake and move to put any hard feeling behind.

You are right on target with your comment. The polling in the UK was unreliable on the leave or stay issue with an 8 point swing.

It's been a huge wake up call to the pollsters and politicians.

People lives were turned over a bureaucracy and they voted to take back control. People want a government that actually produces result for them.

Seriously, you can do better than this.
You can do better. Then do it. Stop acting like a democrat sitting on their butt on house floor and complaining and accomplishing nothing. The mouse is just like a gun. You control it and click on it. It doesn't control you. You made a choice to be here so just stop the
stop embarrassing yourself.

Actually, then, cash is gaining in value. And I've been accumulating cash in the past few months. Great buying opportunity today, Golden Friday.

Right now at time of writing, Japanese (Nikkei), German (DAX), French (CAC) and Italian (MIB) stock markets are down further percentage-wise than the London FTSE, reflecting that, in the medium term, this is a greater blow to anemic and moribund Europe than to UK, the number two economy in the (former) EU and number five in the world.

UK will be at front of queue, in spite of what that anemic and moribund undertaker says.
