So we can finally put to rest what a "great" president Reagan was!

I've been hearing this c**p for 20 years now, how the "great communicator";

-Cut taxes, (not for most, just for some)

-Created 20 million plus jobs, (actually closer to 13 million)

-Balanced the budget, (uh, no-and don't tell me that was the fault of the "free spending" Democrats who "busted" his budgets. The budgets reported out by Congress were within 1% of what he sent them)

-Caused the collapse of the Soviet Union, (by spending ourselves deeply into debt he "contributed" to their collapse, but the Pope and Microsoft had as much, or more to do with it)

Basically Reagan was a "feel good" guy. He (and his handlers) convinced many people that the screwing he was giving them was actually good for them and they bought it. More proof that many (most?) Americans are stupid.

Some things he really was good at;

Crony capitalism, (anyone who contributed to his campaigns got paid back, in spades with taxpayer money)

Indictments, (AFAIK he still leads the league in top level advisers and cabinet members getting carted off in irons.

Running up HUGE debts, (face it, by the election even his top guys realized that the "Laffer Curve" <laugher would be more like it> was a scam, but they had so much political capital investede in it, and it was working so they kept flogging it)

Out and out lying, to any question, posed by anyone, (although I'm sure he no longer holds the record on this. Bush/Cheney has long since passed him)

Flame on, but have the facts before you start ranting.
