It is this type of thinking - based purely on emotion backed by very little facts that can best explain the rise of Donald Trump.
Fact: Globalism is unavoidable and US is winning it; and the only way to solve illegal immigration south o the border is to help Mexico raise their standard of living.
Anything else like tariffs, ban, wall, are just idiotic ideas from an idiotic party.

The EU was created to be an ECONOMIC affiliation for trade. It has morphed into a POLITICAL affiliation and the people are waking up and saying "NO". They want to keep their individual identity.
If I travel to England as a tourist, I want my taxi driver to be a pasty white guy with a thick accent, not some refugee from Syria who lives in his cab and smells like a goat.
Nope. If you voted for or supported Trump in the primaries, then Clinton getting elected will be on you. Every decision the Clinton Supreme Court makes for the next 50 years, is on you. Every illegal alien that gets "a path to citizenship", is on you. Every dollar of federal funding that goes to a sanctuary city, is on you.
How's it feel knowing that you'll have played a critical role in the death of the Conservative movement and probably even the Republican Party? That you actually drove the last nail in to the coffin of your own interests?
The end of the "conservative" movement and the Republican party is just a good thing as would be the end of the "liberal" movement and the Democrat party. They are both anti-human anti-freedom far right wing authoritarian groups. The death of "conservatives" may pave the way for a true liberal left-wing pro freedom party such as the libertarians...
All of the thugs and tyrants from either party today operate only to enslave others and impose their personal will upon the individual with immoral and evil acts of aggression...

Except the Brits are already regretting it, and the other Isles are talking about exiting UK in order to remain in EU.

Why do you care what your cab driver looks like?

I think every candidate from both parties said the same thing: "I will bring the jobs back".
I am not sure that Trump has a chance in these elections as it seems even his own party does not want him to win.
Actually, I recall Hillary telling a large group of coal miners in WV last month that she is personally going to make sure they are out of a job. I mean, why in the hell would mine for coal her, when she can get a lucrative contract with a foreign nation to do it? Oh, thats right, so she can get a cut of the profits
I mean, at this point, trump pretty much is just as in favor of immigration as any mainstream politician in the USA, based on his reversals of his prior stances on deporting illegal immigrants and the Muslim travel ban. Plus, he's hired illegal immigrants himself, and personally benefited from so-called free trade.
Yesterday, one of the news stations had a quote from him from 2013 supporting globalization. I believe it was from an editorial he wrote for the Wall Street Journal.

It struck me today that globalization isn't going away. It's here to stay and there is nothing anyone can do about it.
It's up to the States to be proactive and create jobs in their states. California does a pretty good job of this (look at the logistics base out in the desert Global Access at Southern California Logistics Airport - Real Estate). Other states should be doing it too. Yes, it's kind of like socialism, but when corporations don't step up to the plate, it's up to the states to do what they can.
You either support the progressive, one-world-government agenda, run by international banks, multi-national corporations and non-elected leaders, or you support nations sates, sovereignty, the people and democracy.
What's really sad is people are so brainwashed via the media and partisan politics that good people on the left are openly supporting the rule of corporations and banks over the rule of the people in Europe. The same people who only a year ago were bashing the free-trade deals that crushed US unions and our middle class are now doing a 180' and supporting them because "their side" is supposed to now. I'm actually hearing what I've always considered to be very reasonable friends suggesting in reference to Brexit that the people aren't smart enough to make that decision and shouldn't have a say in it! People who consider themselves "Liberals", actually saying the best thing is to let a small group of non-elected elites, backed by the banks and corporations decide the future for the Brits. It's really sad.
