Of course Edwards will endorse Obama. He was leaning that way before he dropped out.

Gore will follow eventually. He is waiting for the moment when he thinks his endorsement of Obama will have the greatest impact.

Gore won't go in any corner where the Clinton smell is.

Actually, no, ALL indications are that he will support Hillary. Her social programs are closer to his and her healthcare plan is closer to his. My guess is that it will occur on Wednesday following Wisconsin. If he is going to endorse anybody it simply has to happen, one way or the other, before OH/TX or it will be pointless.

Evidence of said leanings by either of them?

Didn't think so.

In this story, Edwards aides clearly seem to be saying that he's leaning Hillary.

"Edwards stands closer to Clinton, D-N.Y., than to Obama, D-Ill. Clinton has taken care to mention the similarities between her health care plan and Edwards' on the trail in recent days.

Another veteran member of Edwards' inner circle said the former candidate is approaching the possibility of an endorsement with a fresh mind. In reexamining both candidates, the former aide said, he is attracted not only to Clinton's policy portfolio, but also to her long track record as first lady and as a senator. "
ABC News: Edwards Weighs Clinton Endorsement

"But Edwards is also said to have some doubts about Obama's healthcare plan and whether Obama is ready for the presidency, according to former aides and associates."

This story also used to say the same thing last night, but, CNN has apparently edited it out. Go figure:

Now where is Alexus' evidence to the contrary?

Good digging BVH reps to you!

It's kinda weird that Alexus thinks Edwards, who champions the causes and issues of the poor, is going to endorse Obama and actually WANTS him to endorse Obama. Hasn't he been ranting on what poor, white trash, redneck scum Hillary's supporters are? Um, these people are/were Edwards' focus.

Again, this is NOT "American Idol". Gore is NOT waiting in the weeds ready to spring his Obama endorement on us. He is clearly neutral and playing the role of "Party elder", and has said so, directly.
