There are hardly any Progressives or Conservatives in our govt anymore.

Just differing degrees of Corporatism for the most part.

Bob Corker (R-TN)
Mike Crapo (R-ID)
Ted Cruz (R-TX)
Mike Enzi (R-WY)
Jeff Flake (R-AZ)
Mike Lee (R-UT)
Rand Paul (R-KY)
James Risch (R-ID)
Jeff Sessions (R-AL)
Richard Shelby (R-AL)

War spending cuts are one of the defining characteristics of a paleo.
Naw, you're confusing libertarians with paleoconservatives.

Rand Paul is a libertarian, not a paleocon.

Ted Cruz actually called for more defense spending in his presidential campaign.

As for the others, simply voting against the 2015 NDAA can just as easily be seen as being typically anti-Obama.

You forgot something else: Paleos are against police state and surveillance state (unlike the Big Government promoting progressive-left).
Well, I didn't say my list was all inclusive - there's a lot that separates neocons, paleocons, and libertarians
Most paleocons and neocons want more surveillance on people with Muslim or Arabic heritage.

"Big Government promoting progressive-left"?

I imagine that next you'll be asking me if I'm a 'Fabian Socialist'.
...

But then, this is all thread drift; the original premise was that HRC was a neocon, and I'm still not seeing a valid reason for the claim.

Rand Paul is very much a paleocon and a libertarian. They have some overlap.

Paleocons are anti-surveillance state. They are also anti-open borders. I think you're confusing the two.

Libertarians, by contrast, are for open borders.

Bob Corker strikes me as an establishment Republican. There has been stuff he has done that made me think he was squishy.

What exactly makes Rand Paul a paleocon?

I looked into Corker's record. He is no paleocon - he is a McConnell establishment Republican.
