Trump's only chance to beat Hillary is to pick Cruz as the VP. I doubt that'll happen though. Maybe he'd want him to fill another position. Pence, Gingrich, Sessions, Christie, and Ernst would all be fails in my opinion. Trump's going to have a hard enough time attracting enough votes, Cruz had the 2nd most during the primaries and is more in line with Trump's positions than other candidates for the VP slot.
He'd be a fool not to ask Cruz to be his VP. Ted is able to articulate his position much better than Donald, and has a much better temperament under pressure. I believe this would give Trump more credibility. I for one would feel more comfortable knowing Donald had a VP as intelligent as Cruz to counsel with.
Cruz has some skeletons in his closet. Don't know what they are yet, but he is all kinds of smarmy.
What is a smarmy? But I agree he's definitely got some skeletons back there.
If Trump can get Cruz's endorsement, that will be one of the final pieces of the GOP backing Trump. Sure there are still the Bushes and Romney, but those endorsements won't happen and aren't that influential at this point. We all know what's happening, Trump has to give a position in his administration to Cruz for his endorsement. It's called negotiating. I seriously doubt that will be the VP slot, but some other position is likely.
I gave my thoughts, what are your's? Contrary to what some may think I'm interested in what others believe as well.
I do not think Cruz would take the VP. However, I also do not think he would be a good pick. Trump will need independents to win. Cruz will turn away independent voters.
Bring a set of loaded dueling pistols and meet in a Texas cow pasture.
