I have a perfect example. On the street outside my house, police pulled over a guy who was driving erratically who jumped out of his truck and almost started to run when they blocked him in with their cars. He backed up against his truck and a cop went over to him and was talking to him for a good 4-5 minutes. The guy was not listening, the cop started raising his voice and started yelling for the guy to put his hands behind his back at least 5 times. The guy still resisted, the cop grabbed him by his shirt, slammed him against his truck, turned him around and cuffed him. I watched this all from my driveway. Now had I started recording when the cop started yelling, thinking something might happen and all you saw was the cop yelling at him, grabbing him, slamming him and handcuffing him, many would think police brutality. However, you wouldn't have seen the 5-6 minutes prior with the cop speaking to him in a normal voice and asking him repeatedly to put his hands behind his back. These videos are only showing the aftermath, not what led up to that moment.
Yep, amazing the attitude of some people. And you read about it all the time/or as you say witness it sometimes in person. I think people need to put their selves in the shoes of the police as traffic stops I've read are one of the most dangerous things for police. This just happened yesterday:
I mentioned it above after you responded but did you ever see that chris rock video "how not to get your *($ kicked by the police"? it's very funny but I think oh so true. I'd make that video required viewing if I could to anyone getting their drivers license and require it to be viewed at least once a year.
And of course wishing these idiotic politicians like hil would stop playing the divide game/politics with police that only adds fuel to the matter.
I trust the police. I value the police. I support the police.
I deplore Ms. Clinton's inflammatory racial rhetoric, her lies, her obvious pandering to black lives matter hoodlums, and her disrespect for our law enforcement officers. She is disgraceful, just like her previous boss..... our incompetent in chief.
“We’ve got to figure out what is happening when routine traffic stops, when routine arrests, escalate into killings.."
I'll tell you exactly what is happening. The people who are getting shot are resisting arrest and/or not following orders from a police officer which then escalates the situation. Thousands of people are arrested every day in this country without being shot and killed, yes, even black people. You know why they weren't shot and killed? Because they cooperated with the officers. Its that simple. Some people REALLY think police are just running up on people with guns drawn shooting and killing them for a broken tail light? Please.

Wait until Mrs. Know It All finds out the cop doing his job was not white......mud in her face!

I just coughed up my dinner...as I thought that I'd never agree with you on anything. Great post!!!

And that's how most of these videos go, you only get a snippet of the aftermath of the encounter. Tried to rep you again however I have to spread it around first
You are posting in a thread titled "Hilary Blames Cops, White People."
I answered your question reasonably, I'm not responding to this hysterical ranting.
glad you are not responding: there is nothing hysterical about my response, only your misunderstanding, but that is fine with me. End of story, some of us see things one way and others another. That is what makes CD informative and interesting.
Yes, people can disagree and still be friends, that is in some cases.

Not that there are not some shootings that are uncalled for, of course it works both ways but it 90%or more of these cases there has been some resistance, in some way. I don't know about others, but I was taught to stop if a person in authority told me to stop. We have all been stopped for speeding, or whatever, sometimes unjustly, but regardless we do what we are told and we do it politely. We might be saying things under our breath that we would repeat in church for sure, but we still do as we are told.
I remember hubby being pulled over for speeding. Yes, he was but he was traveling at the same speed as the two cars next to us; they were not pulled over. We had just moved to the local and had a bumper sticker on our car we assume the cop did not like. To this day, we talk about that. Hubby took the ticket, paid the fine, end of story.
