really? you know this how?......tell me who was the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th choices?...........keep drinking the Huffington Post kool aid.
how is Pence a loser? he is popular with conservatives.....Trump needs to unite the party, that's what the V.P. is for.
He doesn't need to unite conservatives. He had them at "I'll build a wall.". He needs women, latinos, blacks, and college educated whites. I think, though, that all the possible picks that might have had broader appeal, turned him down.
tell me a conservative that is not part of the establishment in washington but has executive experienced that Trump could have picked better than Pence.
Trump can't pick a RINO on a ticket, conservatives will stay home......Pence is an excellent pick to unite the party.
And also carries danger since he will the most conservative choice near the oval office in a long time. He does lack the baggage Gingrich and Christie has of course but will get hammered on his extreme social positions. Which has the potential to turn off moderate voters in the process.
bernie supporters could care about social issues.....they are about the economy and corruption in politics.
How many Bernie supporters are you personally friends with? Why don't you go to the group Adult Nerdfighters on facebook. Put your opinion there and see how many people agree with you. Social issues are very important to Bernie supporters. That's a key reason very few of them find Trump appealing.
Not a huge fan of this pick but he's not a deal breaker. Didn't he support an anti-gay marriage bill in Indiana though? I'd expect that to cause a lot of hysteria from the left.
Why should Trump care about social conservatives? Where else are they going to go? And, no, they won't stay home because they're hell-bent on keeping Hillary out of the WH. I don't see how this pick helps Trump with swing voters.
This election is about Trump, not his VP and not even Clinton, really. Trump is so much larger than life that I don't think it really mattered who he would pick.
This is a big deal. Great choice. Pence is a serious, authoritative presence, has gravity, and Trump really needed someone outside of the Boston-Washington corridor. Pence gets Trump the Midwest and the South, easy.

no he doesn't, the conservative wing of the party were not supporting Trump,.....he needed to unite the party.
that's like saying Clinton needs a WHITE MALE V.P. to close the gap with white men....that's silly, she will pick a v.p. that makes her party happy.
people in the general don't vote for V.P. .....V.P. choice is more to united and excite the party.
