Trump isn't a hypocrite because he called for Romney's returns to be released, because his returns were not under audit.
However, you democrats demanding that Trumps release his returns while under audit is very hypocritical because you would never release your returns while under audit.
You guys have been whining about Trump's returns for months now, and it hasn't changed a thing, because guess what, it never will.
You dems should be spending your time putting pressure on the DNC to replace Hillary because she has serious health issues, and is completely unfit to be president. Not to mention is facing a third criminal investigation.
"The relevance is that he is now running for election, the word hypocrisy comes to mind don't ya think?"
That has to be one of the most foolish questions in this thread!
No, based on my posts, I do NOT think so. It is quite obvious!
In fact, if you actually READ my posts, it is obvious I don't think a candidate's tax returns are of any importance whatsoever.
Again I ask, now that hillary has released her returns, have you read them? If so, what did you learn that is directly related to her qualifications for the office she is seeking?
If not, why not? If the tax returns are of such earth-shaking importance, surely all you hillbots would have read and, indeed, STUDIED them!
Because he doesn't need to please people like you that will never vote for him, and only want to see his returns to attack him.
Well, Nixon's lawyers probably told him to never make the tapes in the first place, but he didn't listen.
Nixon is a good example of what not to do.
Oh please he went on about Obama's birth certificate for years and now he can't produce a letter from the IRS?
By the way, the IRS already has his filed returns so what is the issue. Anyway he could at least release the letter from the IRS, surprised the media have not been on this.

Yes complaining that Romney didn't release his returns and not doing the same is hypocrisy.
Well evidently other candidates think they are important since everyone has released returns for the last 50 years.
Did you think that Nixon should have released his returns before the election, nothing there to see right, those pre-presidential papers sure came in handy.
However, you democrats demanding that Trumps release his returns while under audit is very hypocritical because you would never release your returns while under audit.
I will type slowly. We only have Trump's insistence that he's "under audit". That would be easily proved by providing the letter from the IRS saying he's under audit. Follow me so far?
Now, Trump could provide said letter, if it exists. But as you carefully explained, "he doesn't need to please people like you that will never vote for him". And you're right. He doesn't. It's up to him.
Now, you may recall that in the past, Trump made a lot of political hay insisting that President Obama produce a document that Obama was at liberty to produce or not. In other words, Trump and his fans feel perfectly comfortable applying two different standards - one for Trump and one for his opponents. And that's the textbook definition of hypocrisy.
He doesn't need to please those that won't vote for him either.
Ultimately, candidates don't have to please anyone. And the electorate can then act accordingly.
Still - it's interesting to see those who never ceased to whine about President Obama's past being insufficiently documented all of a sudden taking a very relaxed stance.
