Did anybody even really know who the candidate would be when the schedule was set in September of 2015.
This bipartisan commission still tries to one up the other side
Give the debates back to the LWV.
Yes, they knew who one of the candidates would be in 2012....
Whatever. It makes no difference to me as the debates are a sham. Every candidate listed on enough ballots to give him or her a mathematical chance of winning the election should be invited to the debate regardless of how that candidate is performing in the polls. Polls are supposed to reflect public opinion, not establish it. And all that aside, I have a strong feeling that the "powers that be" will come up with some excuse to not invite Gary Johnson to the debate even if he is polling well enough.
"It was set prior to the football schedule" So you are saying that the powers that be who set the schedule are so totally incompetent that they didn't know that the NFL plays every Sunday and Monday in the fall?
The independent commission, now that they know the facts, can reset the schedule. ...and, yes they did know who one of the candidates would be, they one they have been protecting all along.
"only one of the two games can be called a key game" Come on, don't be so ****, it's the NFL, every game is a key game. Nice try though...
No they didn't know who the candidates were going to be at the time, enough of this nonsense. Falcons & Saints, yeah they are in the same division, but are not exactly the most intense NFL rivals....
There is one on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
It is impossible to find a prime-time spot when there is nothing else on TV. There is going to be football all day Saturday and Sunday, and Monday nights. The Monday night game is Atlanta vs New Orleans, so outside those two cities, not many people will watch it.
It seems Trump is looking for an excuse to not debate at all.
That, and to send out the "system is rigged" message. He must reinforce his slogans and messages to his following, true or not. Bill Maher's nickname for Trump is constantly reinforced: "whiny little b*tch."
no no no...NFL games get far more ratings than those shows. Look, if Trump was trying to move it up by weeks, you'd have a point about "quaking in boots" however, if they're just looking to move it to a Tuesday, you have no proof. Also, aren't you nervous about Hillary potentially passing out or seizing on stage?
No, no one is worried about Hillary having a seizure. That's just another silly lie promoted by the Trumpsters.

I think you have that backwards, it's crooked hillary who is hiding. Schedule the debates when no one will be watching, just like she did to Bernie..
She is a corrupt old slug..
Nope. Trump is doing EXACTLY what we all knew he would do. Try and slink out of debating Hillary.

He'll have to provide specifics which is something he has not done since he started running for president. He has no knowledge at all in foreign affairs and doesn't have a clue about how to improve the economy. The debates will expose how unfit he really is in being president.
The debate Schedule was set by an Independent Commission last September. The DNC and RNC had nothing to do with the schedule. It was set prior to the football schedule (only one of the two games can be called a key game). It was set prior to knowing who the candidates would be, hell it was set almost five months before the Iowa Caucuses
Hillary has been known to be the next candidate for the DNC, most likely since 2012 when she struck a deal to support Barrack O.
She's very particular about when those debates are scheduled isn't she. Trump is of course savvy to the importance of media exposure and WANTS people to watch the debates. Doesn't it make you wonder..why doesn't Hillary?
Because Trump doesn't take b.s.
Did you see my prior post ?
2008: Zero Sundays or Mondays, no NFL conflict.
2012: Zero Sunday, 1 Monday, 1 NFL conflict.
2016: 1 Sunday, 1 Monday, 2 NFL conflicts.
This will not be allowed.
It's not a "complaint". It's a demand.
Sorry but your candidate will have to pull her knickers up
and debate when the most Americans will watch her taken to the woodshed.
What's really sad is that you don't want the largest number of
Americans to watch. Especially those involved in professional sports,
which includes a great number of African-Americans, and working people
who just want to go to bed on Sunday night.
Because Trump doesn't take b.s.

Trumps childishness is really starting to annoy me.

Go to bed? So, it is not about football games. What would be an appropriate time for the whiner? Tuesday afternoon?

Trump is running away. Totally and completely predictable.
Just like when HE invited Bernie to debate and Bernie agreed. Trump ran away .
