I said in another topic that Hillary's camp will put so many restrictions/requirements and nonsense on the debates there would end up being no point to them.

Good for Trump for standing up to here where Bernie wouldn't.

But no matter.

In the end, Hillary is going to lose by a landslide. This is why she proposed a debate schedule that minimizes her unscripted media exposure.

The moderators will likely say stupid things (remember Megyn Kelly!), and the end result will be to help Trump.

Step 1 of Donald slinking away from debating Hillary.

Please explain how Megyn Kelly holding Donald Trump to the stupid things he says somehow gets turned around to be her fault.

Should not the goal of the Presidential debates be for MAXIMUM viewership? There is NO constructive argument against that.

We knew they would work to meet Hillary's "special needs" just like they did when it came to her debates with Sanders. Trump is not Sanders!

Sorry Hillary supporters, both ourselves and our candidate don't roll over on our backs and wet ourselves when the Hillary campaign speaks. It must be so embarrassing to be supporting Hillary.

The debate Schedule was set by an Independent Commission last September. The DNC and RNC had nothing to do with the schedule. It was set prior to the football schedule (only one of the two games can be called a key game). It was set prior to knowing who the candidates would be, hell it was set almost five months before the Iowa Caucuses

The schedule was set by agreement of the RNC and DNC in 2015. It was not "rigged" by the DNC.

Get over this fantasy that Americans are glued to their TVs for football games. Prime time network shows get more viewers than NFL games.

Trump lied when he said the NFL complained to him about debate schedule. They didn't.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commis...ential_Debates
The CPD sponsors and produces debates for the United States presidential and vice presidential candidates and undertakes research and educational activities relating to the debates. The organization, which is a nonprofit corporation controlled by the Democratic and Republican parties, has run each of the presidential debates held since 1988. The Commission is headed by Frank Fahrenkopf, a former head of the Republican National Committee, and former White House press secretary Michael D. McCurry.

The Debate Commission is not bipartisan.
That's why they attempted to fix the schedule for Hillary.

Manafort said they will work exclusively with the President
of the Debate Commission to ensure no conflict with NFL.

Donald can make a big issue out of this.

If they think they can play chicken with Trump, they will lose.

It's a shame that so many of you think so lowly of those who watch football.

This a rather sad commentary on our country that this argument is even taking place. One of the most important elections in quite a while and the narrative is that the electorate would make the choice to watch a football game instead of a debate.
