Hillary's ads are a microcosm of Hillary and her campaign itself: overcalculated, overpriced, overly "clever" without being especially intelligent, joyless, unimaginative, trite.
It's not surprising she's got little to show after outspending Trump 40-1 in the battleground states.
This ad didn't need to be intelligent or joyful, but it is one we all knew was coming. How couldn't anyone run these ads whether it was a Super-PAC or actually by the opponent. Trump's words and actions in these past thirteen months have been disgusting at times. And it isn't even about policy.

Personally I think Tv ads are really only effective with the baby boomers and some Gen Xer's. I think the last time I watch TV was in an airport waiting area. And that's only because the Wi-Fi there wasn't very good.
Granted. My guess is that this going to be about the older voters of the general electorate more than anything else. Guess it's just time for nostalgia. For trump the 1950s and Clinton the late 60s and early 70s.

Oh joy.
This ad is also on the internet which at times is just nose, worse so than tv. That said I think both presidential candidates are looking at a 1970's economy.

The question is has this ad gone viral or not.
I still think ads like this get less of a look at on the Internet than on tv. Also how many times does one watch an ad like this On the Internet? I mean with the old days of TV you could hammer home points with playing the same ad over and over again on the TV. But now if One actually take the time, They might watch it once and maybe take it under consideration. But the points can't be hammered home through repetition.
I think at the end of the day the debates between Hillary and Trump are going to be more important for the younger folks in the general electorate. You're going to get the candidates up on the stage, live and in person, and they're going to have to debate, defend, and explain their positions. Not just make good soundbites, etc.
