Not for me, but it might for others. It was a good choice to attract those whose primary issue with Trump is that they question his conservatism. I have different reasons that had more of an impact on my not wanting him, one of which the only way the VP would have mattered is if the VP were capable of gagging Trump and/or keeping his fingers off Twitter. Of those being discussed probably the only one that MIGHT have helped for me was Gingrich, even though he isn't one of my favorite people. I do, however, recognize that for most of the neverTrump folks, Pence was a good choice and may help him.

The GOP now knows that Trump will work with them but Trump will build that wall.

For die-hard conservatives that are sick to death of not seeing enough of a difference between their party and those they consider degenerates....you betcha!

It won't work with libs like yourself, but it will work with the far right base which is what is needed. He could have picked Nancy Pelosi, and it wouldn't have changed one liberals mind.

Well, you're going to limit your appeal to a very narrow segment of the general electorate. Congratulations!

The GOP needs to be more hateful, got it. They are already approaching "The Handmaid's Tale" levels but by all means crank it up.

Good thing Shillary does a fantastic job of nauseating such a large segment of the general electorate. Sure, some folks will vote for her, but they will feel disgusted with themselves after the fact. How could you not you feel disgusted? She might have "experience", but her experience speaks for itself. She is a liar, she is thought to be corrupt, and she is incompetent.

The only reason Dems want to elect her is because they know it will repulse Republicans. In reality, electing Hillary would erode trust in US government, and highlight how truly corrupt the system has become.

Just a thought - despite not having the rules committee change the roles so that the delegates are unbound, there is still the possibility that certain delegates just won't show up for the first vote. All they need to win the war is to have a lot of media coverage of the fight. While trump would still be the nominee, the fracture in the GOP would be front and center on a prime-time stage.
