I'm sure the shortfall will be made up somehow, but the fact remains that a number of R deep pockets - among them, the Kochs - don't want to pay for the convention that will nominate Trump.
Oh yes, all those "tech" giants are run by Conservatives. Puhleeze. Silicon Valley is liberal haven, don't even try.

The DNC is fine so why should Hillary pay for the Republican convention? Trump's a billionaire, he can either pay for it or they scale way back to popcorn and packet lemonade.

And very very successful. You know, like Trump pretends to be before filing for multiple bankruptcies.

I couldn't find the article, both google and yahoo have stripped a lot of the articles that I had, you bet they did. This is our chance not to be controlled by google, Time Warner, etc. They will take our country from us in the name of profits in their pockets like the crooked Hillary.

Hopefully the money will be adequate. If the RNC was just as corrupt as the DNC, they would be set too.
Here, let me help you with that... articles start popping up in March. I think March 2016, was well after the campaign season started, tho. And, it seems the common thread is that they were just too antsy about trump.

What does it have anything to do with Silicon Valley? Peter Thiel is supporting Trump so they'll get something from him. Other major tech moguls probably won't have much to do with Trump.

And Peter Thiel is a story in itself. That he supports Trump is predictable.

Maybe David Duke and the KKK can have a fish fry to raise some cash.
