I look at it this way: first of all; why did she write her own speech? that is highly unusual, but she said she did, ok? If so, she should have had someone check it for her. If she didn't write it she didn't tell the truth.
As for plagiarism, that might be stretching it a little. Didn't our VP do something similar only worse?
I would say, too much is being made out of nothing, but it might also show something about her personality and whether she is going to be the ideal first lady? I don't think this will make a difference to anyone when it comes to voting for President. Let's hope no one is that shallow!

Forget that he let them throw his wife under the bus. If he can't manage to not f-up the keynote address of HIS convention, which featured HIS wife, then how engaged do you think he'll be as President?
He has admitted his two main sources of worldly knowledge are the news (that the right bashes every day) and himself. If that is the truth, then we would need some confidence that he'd surround himself with a competent and qualified team. He can't even manage to make sure that the defining speech of his entire campaign is legit.

There is growing speculation Melania lied about graduating from university. If this is true Trump most certainly knew about the lie and allowed the lie to permeate to the public.
I bet she isn't fluent in 5 languages either. I bet she knows her native language and English and a tiny bit of 3 other languages. She's not that good with English either compared to a lot of other Europeans that don't speak English as their native language.
I do feel sorry for Melania and it's not only because of the speech. I feel sorry for her because she's married to a sociopath. She probably signed a one sided prenup that gives her nearly zilch if they divorce. She'd be afraid to leave him and lose custody of her child and is likely worried that he will dump her for a new trophy wife as he has done to his past 2 wives. She's trying hard to keep up with the other trophy wives - plastic surgery and trying to portray an image. He seems to respect his kids more than he respects his trophy wife. She's not from the US so she likely feels a bit out of place.

I prefer the POTUS be advised by his cabinet. I believe that is why they have them, isn't it? Also, it is said that Bill is suffering what appears to be Parkinson's or a Parkinson's like disease. I am aware of what that does to a person and such a person is not in a position to be giving advice to the POTUS. I have seen his lash out in ways that indicate he is losing it. Bill looks like the grim reaper is standing in his shadow.

Yeah, Bill is spent. I want Trump to depend on his cabinet and in military situations, he has said he will take advice from the Generals which works for me.

Melania isn't married to the sociopath, Bill is. Trump never took custody away from the other mothers, so why would Melania fear that. Didn't you see the other women with money, they all get the plastic surgery, you can see the severe dips around their mouths.
