Yeah, but remember, 9/11 changed everything.

I really do remember those intriguing Bush-Gore debates, and thinking how great it would be if we were to avoid nation-building expeditions. I remember how disappointed I later became when I heard Shrub labeling an "axis of evil."

A
great pre-invasion perspective on the folly of invading Iraq...by none other than Ron Paul.

Totally. I was watching CNN at a VFW bar when that all started, and remember wondering aloud whether Dubya had any idea what he was getting himself into. Evidently, he did not.

Read his plans, and tell me that they're just fluff, not substance.

Agreed on Paul, though.
I read it and it looks like something a 14 yr old put together.

I see you keep hyping this... Well, I guess if people are demanding something it is something.

Now I understand why he only speaks of hope and the future. Nothing real to talk about.

You know, I keep seeing you speak critically, with no real substance. Perhaps you are the child who lacks the ability to put together a coherent argument. Not once have you pointed out what is wrong with his policies, indicating that you haven't even looked at them. You are indeed the dullard you called yourself, it seems. What exactly about that policy plan appears to be something a 15YO put together?

Actually, it's pretty obvious that you are just a shill. You haven't actually bothered to engage in debate over any of his policies, but have rather resorted to childish attacks that parrot a discredited line: that he lacks substance.

Listen, kiddo, you asked me to list four policies, and I did. I'll ask again: are you blind, illiterate, or simply obtuse? Meet me in the other thread, and I'll be glad to go toe-to-toe with you on policy discussions. I have a feeling you're not mentally up to it, though.

That's essentially the audiences mindset.

Let's face it, the American people have gone from being the most productive people on the face of the planet to not only unproductive but destructive.

This country, once upon a time did things that no other people, no other country had even come close to doing in the 6,000 years of human history which preceeded us. Now we've basically gone round the world in the last 50 years sticking guns in peoples faces , either directly or via proxy, have spent our childrens and grandchildrens future away with a giant government that only the most devout communist or ignoramus could envy, and now the average munchkin out there seeks an even larger welfare and warfare state.

Shame

I've followed my local city politics closely the past 4 years. I look for someone that has put in some time on a board or being involved in some way before running for city council as an unknown. So, 2 years in the senate and being a great speaker isn't enough for me.

Everyone has a plan but can they work with the Congress to get their ideas through? Let Obama spend some more time in the Senate.

For once, Texans will really get to have their primary votes count. I would have loved to hear Ron Paul speak.

On the other side, what 35 years experience is Hillary talking about?

Does anyone else find it compelling that the media started to ram Obama down the throat of the masses last month and now it is Obama that it is primary talking point? This is an illustration that the media has complete and total control over elections. Personally I find all of that power over the masses concentrated in one source to be frightening. Obama could be worse President than Bush, but nobody would know as few are looking closely. Once you get past the hope and change rhetoric of the Obama campaign there is a huge void where the substance should be.
I disagree. Nobody, even Yosemite Sam, would be as bad as Dubya.

About Obama, I think we should wait until AFTER he has served his two terms before we start assessing what kind of President he is. Right now, he promises to be just as good if not better than any candidate for the office.
