Does anyone know how this particular woman was scammed? She never gave any details. All she said is that she was scammed out her deceased spouse's money from the military. Was it a type of GI Bill?
I know the GI Bill can be transferred to children and spouses. They also get life insurance that they can use outside of what is specified in their wills that they update right before deployment or yearly (depending on their MOS.
I would also like to know the specifics. The GI bill pays on credits you are taking so something feels a little off.
My question would be is why would any Hispanic-American think their ethnic group should be above our laws and rewarded for breaking them? Aren't Hispanic citizens just as obligated to respect our immigration laws just as any other citizen is?
It is a bit patronizing to assume Hispanics will support lawlessness so long as it's 'their people' breaking the law (with the help of the government).
