I know this will be tough, because the polls are all over the place and nobody can agree on what they mean even in a normal week. But let's at least speculate on whether the convention gives Hillary a bump, and if so, how much.

Love her or hate her, I think most people will agree that was a very artfully orchestrated convention. Speaking for myself, I was surprised, especially given the disastrous and completely tone deaf way they started out with the Wasserman-Schultz debacle. That doesn't mean everyone has to agree that it was persuasive, or even credible, but I think that objectively speaking, it was quite well put-together, and most of the speeches over the last couple of days were very good speeches. Again, doesn't have to mean you agreed with them, but they were good speeches.

Personally, I think that the Democrats' convention was considerably more likely to win over undecided voters than the Republicans', and that Hillary will be seeing about a 3-5 point bounce by early next week. Others will obviously disagree, but, that's what we're here for, right? To argue.

So... let's argue!

Let me see if I can sum up the rose colored glasses fantasy fest, cough, er I mean the democrat convention in one sentence:

"The country/world matters are doing well and we need 4 more years of an obama type to continue the great path we are on and above all, ignore the crazy talk that this country has some real/serious problems on many levels that need addressing".

Now on to reality:

RealClearPolitics - Election Other - Direction of Country

Oops.

As for how this will be a positive or negative for the ratings of the fantasy barkers that appear to be grossly out of touch with reality by ignoring how the vast majority of American's feel about how we are on the "wrong track", well, given that many in the herd seem to love hearing up is down and right is left, I've learned to never underestimate the gullible herd so I think anything is possible.

I think it'll depend on if any new scandal breaks over the weekend.

It was really awesome hearing so many positive and inspiring speeches from the democrats. It's message of optimism is what I want to be a part of.

"Americas greatness does not depend on Donald Trump".

TOLD! I'm sure Obama was one of the "many" people Donald trump wanted to punch today!!!

I love speeches. I tried buying a McMac today with one, but the cashier told me they aren't with a dime.

She delivered a great speech, which, along with Bernie's believable endorsement, should soften the huge splinters in the party right now. I expect a small bump in the polls, but nothing too drastic.

The road is clear to stealing more money. Who'd ever figure that all it would take would be a speech written by a speech writer. Indeed, America is great.

The mainstream media did all it could to highlight the Democratic convention.

But I don't believe it will resonate nearly as well with the public
