Stephen Moore is a liar, not to mention a fool. I've come close to destroying my TV a few times when he's been on air. But what can you expect - two fools together - birds of a feather.
If we freed up the economy, things would improve. It's not rocket science. Sound money, reduced government spending, reduced regulations, simplified and flatter taxes, lower taxes, free trade. It wouldn't necessarily bring 'prosperity to all' (nothing would), but it would be much better than things are now (quite the low bar, as you say).
I would agree, that's why I'm voting Libertarian. But I am not confident that Trump and his cronies are interested in anything other than profiting from the power of the presidency. We would be trading one oligarchy for another.

I actually do believe Trump is running because he's concerned about the country's future. He's doing well enough on his own and wasn't really hated until he ran for President (as a Republican).
I don't think he's in this to benefit corporations or oligarchs. Whether that's true, remains to be seen. Not sure if you're in a competitive state or not; if you are, I'd recommend Trump (if for no other reason than to block Clinton), but it's your call.
My concerns about Trump are mainly about his principles, or lack thereof. I don't think he's trying to make the wealthy even wealthier but he does sometimes fall for the leftist bait (raising minimum wage, raising taxes on top 2%, etc.).
So, he picks his advisors from the 1%. Yeah, that's a great way to run the country so it works for everybody!
Seems to me, that's the most likely group to include
people who actually know something about the economy.
Who should he pick, the doorman at Trump Tower?
Perhaps a panel of social justice warriors?

That's what I was thinking. Would it be better if the economic advisers were unemployed? How about homeless?
The reason people trash advisers who are wealthy is just continuing the theme that wealthy people are inherently evil and poor people are inherently good. It basically is class warfare/social justice from a different vantage point.

It would have been tough for them to have done any worse than Bernanke.
