As the GOP wonder who dug their grave, they should look also to the rash of GOP initiatives to make it difficult for minorities to vote.

The Courts have been striking down these draconian laws and now:

A. It is easier for minorities to vote.

B. Minorities are angry the white GOP tried to steal the elections and are even less likely to support GOP candidates.

Excellent article with case history at:

How sad that the Leftists think Minorities are just to dumb & stupid to get an ID.
The same ID that every single Citizen KNOWS is necessary to get a cell phone, bank account, into any Federal building, welfare, Social Security, an apartment or home, any utility, write a check, get a credit card OR use a credit card, get on an airplane and soon or a bus/train ........ the list is endless

Thank you. Show me where the statute has one set of voter ID rules for white and another (less stringent) set of voter ID rules for everyone else and then we'll talk. Were that the case, I'd oppose these laws 100%.

Read the article and weep.

One of the Courts ruling that GOP efforts were intentionally discrimatory was a Texas Court in the heart of GOP territory.

What the previous poster did was cite a justification to discriminate. I.E. It is no big deal and the type of ID is necessary.

The Court agreed it is more difficult for the targeted minority voters to comply and no voter fraud was demonstrated. Therefore, this was intentionally done to try and keep GOP in office and it has backfired.

Further r, the fact of the matter is, as the article cites, some GOP legislators went as far as include non-ID measures specifically targeted to reduce minority voter turnout.

Facts, are such a bother to the GOP.
