Wow! I'd offer a response but that's way too far gone for me to do so.

Well, I'm trying to stay within the bounds of reason here. "What if's" aren't the same as likely or probable.

I'm by no means a Republican but democracy can only work with two viable parties and one is about to end up in the emergency room.
Seats in the Senate: 54/100 (54%)
Seats in the House of Representatives: 247/435 (57%)
Governorships: 31/50 (62%)
State Upper Chamber Seats: 1127/1972 (57%)
State Lower Chamber Seats: 3037/5411 (56%)

Doesn't look like the emergency room to me.

And you think those are likely to increase or shrink come election day?

November 9th, 2016 is a Wednesday, I'm guessing most of us will go to work like we normally do to pay for all the democrats who are sleeping late and sitting around the basement all day.

If this were a republican saying this about the democratic party the next sentence posted would be "Republicans threaten to put Democrats in the emergency room if they lose the election." Yes. this forum is full of posts that bad.

Johnson doesn't have enough of a base to win, but Trump's behavior makes it more likely that principle-based conservatives and libertarians (small 'l') will register their disgust and alienation by voting for Johnson. That might pave the way for greater recognition, funding, and participation in debates by Libertarian (capital 'L') candidates. And just maybe -- a few electoral votes in 2020; possibly enough to throw the election to the House, where more pragmatic, and foresighted thinking should prevail.

The smartest move the Republicans could make would be to disavow the most simplistic among the Religious Right, and base their future platforms solely on logically-consistent economic arguments; this is not going to sit well among the more simplistic of the Trumpsters, who can't seem to understand that the "globalism" they demonize is 10% driven by formal treaties (which can, and should be disavowed) and 90% by the free exchange of goods, services, and human opinion -- which is unstoppable.

Nether the Trumpsters nor the most strident of the Bible-thumpers have anywhere else to go.

What will happen?

The end of democracy and freedom as we knew it. Confiscation of ARs. Restrictions on ammo. Theft of assets by government and the police state. More redistribution of wealth. Legalization of pot and probably cross species marriage. Illegal immigrants will be appointed to positions of power and assets of americans who speak out seized. Every town will have a muslim prayer tower.

Business will continue to flee. The rich will get richer. The military will be issued muskets and using the term muslim terrorist will result in jail time.
