No one interpreted it that way until the spin operators made people interpret it that way. So if anyone does try to assassinate Clinton, it may very well be the fault of her own spin makers. Someone has already tried to assassinate Donald Trump, and it didn't get nearly as much coverage (or outrage) as this.
