Honestly, the October surprise is a myth in the terms of influencing the election. It's one of those things that people go on about that really has no effect. By the fall people aren't changing their minds.
What would be the possibility of both Trump being replaced by a candidate who has a ghost of a chance; and some revelation about Hilary that provides that chance? Are there any historical examples of last-minute (so to speak) changes of presidential candidates?
