"No other candidate for the White House this year has anything close to Trump’s record of repeated social and business dealings with mobsters, swindlers, and other crooks. Professor Douglas Brinkley, a presidential historian, said the closest historical example would be President Warren G. Harding and Teapot Dome, a bribery and bid-rigging scandal in which the interior secretary went to prison. But even that has a key difference: Harding’s associates were corrupt but otherwise legitimate businessmen, not mobsters and drug dealers."

Just What Were Donald Trump's Ties to the Mob? - POLITICO Magazine

It's ironic that he calls Clinton "crooked Hillary," when he is the one with all the connections to the mob.

That is a hard sell when crooked Hillary has books and movies made about the culture of corruption that sounds them. They are a crime family sometimes known as the Bonnie and Clyde of politics.

Or accuses her of being a liar when fact-checkers have found over half of all his claims are completely false.

My favorite is the accusation she is a criminal and should be locked. Trump is the one with the court date on racketeering charges.

This isn't a Hillary Clinton thread.

So no comments about Trump's very long, very detailed history of doing business with the mob?

Not that again. The fact checker is a bigger liar that both of them together.

I don't think it matters to die hard Trump supporters.

He's got his 13M supporters via the primaries and some, the thinking ones seem to be dropping out. The non thinkers will stick with him until he flames out.

His detailed history looks like a children's book when compared to Hillary Clinton's corruption and lies.
