Texas votes along racial lines like the majority of the former Confederate States. The exceptions, where the margins are lower are in Florida and Virginia, where the R white percentage was "only" 61% (with the national average at 59%) and North Carolins where Romney held on with 68% of the white vote. About everywhere else in the former CSA, the white Republican percentages are at least in the 70%'s and high enough to overwhelm the liberal and minority vote. But the Republican base in the South is heavily dependent on older voters, which makes continued dominance in the distant future more uncertain.
Yep, you are right. He has to better his image with women and voters with college degrees and hope Clinton loses a decent amount of younger voters to 3rd party candidates.
i guess the washington post has more credibility than the ny post? you didnt seem to laugh at them like you did in the other thread, the huma thread. im not too familiar with which paper has more credibility, but you think one has it and the other doesn't?
All that's debatable, but I'm not going to debate it.
I'm just pointing out the simple fact that blacks and Hispanics are mostly not on board with Trump. Doesn't matter what you or anyone thinks they are doing or should do.
Most of them wouldn't have been on board no matter who the Republican candidate was.
You're the one who is saying that the current state of affairs is "...giving away our country and not doing what is best for it like following laws for example". The thing is, most americans don't see it that way.
If most Americans don't care about the national interests and our laws then we are in a heap of trouble. I have more faith in the majority of Americans than that.

Which newspapers win the most awards for journalistic excellence? The top all-time winner of Pulitizer Prizes is the New York Times, followed by the Washington Post. I don't think the New York Post has ever won a Pulitzer. Credibility is in the eye of the beholder, but the Pulitzer is probably the top award for journalism.
The New York Post claims its lineage back to 1801 and Alexander Hamilton, but it lost money since 1949, and was purchased by Rupert Murdoch in 1976 who turned into a tabloid.
Quote:
Murdoch imported the tabloid journalism style of many of his Australian and British newspapers, such as The Sun, which was the highest selling daily newspaper in the UK for a long time. This style was typified by the Post's famous headlines such as "Headless body in topless bar" (shown on the right, written by Vincent Musetto who died in June 2015). In its 35th-anniversary edition, New York Magazine listed this as one of the greatest headlines. It also has five other Post headlines in its "Greatest Tabloid Headlines" list.
Murdoch turned the Post into a money-maker, but at the cost of its reputation.
Most of them wouldn't have been on board no matter who the Republican candidate was.
Well, that's probably true. But Romney was one Republican who did better with blacks and Hispanics than Trump is doing. GW Bush was another. So it's not the case that blacks and Hispanics won't vote for a Republican. It's that they won't vote for Trump.

The majority of blacks and Hispanics won't vote Republican no matter who the candidate is. Hispanics don't like Trump because he wants to deport illegal aliens and that is why he is getting fewer votes from them. It's a sad day in this country when a special interest group thinks our politicians should thumb their noses at our laws for them or they won't vote for them.

Very good read, sums up what I have been gently trying to explain to my fellow Republicans over the past few years. We can't win with angry old White men anymore. Sorry folks. Either we evolve and adapt to the changing demographics (ie: dropping politics rooting in appealing to White resentment) or we die. Simple as that.
How about.... your post is now obsolete.
