Imer's mother, Laurel Imer, is the official field coordinator on paper, but she wants to give her son most of the responsibility and help show other parents - Democrat or Republican - how to get their kids involved.
I have a 12 year old kid. The idea of him running a campaign office? Let's just say I'm not surprised that Hillary is leading by 11 points in Colorado.
That is cool. I think it's pretty awesome that he wants to run for president when he's old enough. How many kids do you come across that says that? I know I have not come across any.
I've had my kids sit through the debates and let them form their own opinions. I've even listened to them talking to their friends about the different candidates. One of their friends made a comment about one of the candidates and I asked them where they got their information from. We sat and searched out if it was correct or not (we are friends with the parents so we got the ok before we went any further). All the kids who were here that day learned something new.
Shocker. Democrats are being ageists and whining.....of course NEITHER actually read the article.
How nice of you to blithely throw around false accusations. I live in Denver, I'm well aware of the story of young Mr. Imer and his quixotic but ultimately failing attempt to get the Orange Menace elected.

And? If you knew the story you made a real asinine statement seeing how its his MOTHER that's officially running it and all they are doing is getting the word out and signing ppl up to vote. Nothing more.

I think the fact that the kid is involved regardless of the side he is on is cute and a good thing. However, for the kid to basically be in charge (even if it is his mother on paper) of the campaign operations in a major suburban county of a swing state (and a county that has trended away from the GOP in recent years), is just bad strategy.
