Wasn't it the Trumplings who told us we didn't have to worry about the Donald being a dummy who knew nothing about how Washington worked? That this self-proclaimed genius of marketing and self-promotion would scour the countryside for only the best and brightest to work alongside him.

Now months into the campaign, we have watched as one after another of his oh so brilliant hires have been thrown off the trump train. Manafort and Lewandowski are the most obvious, and their replacements have shown themselves to be a whole other level of incompetence. And that's to say nothing of hiring the sleaze-ball Roger Ailes to help him recruit female voters.

But that's all yesterday's news eh? Today we were treated to yet another in the never-ending line of miscreants hired by the orange one. This headline from Red State says it all: Another Scandal-Tainted Addition to Team Trump.

The story broke on CNN with this commentary: Donald Trump's campaign has hired a former top aide to New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie who was fired amid the Bridgegate scandal, a source with knowledge of the decision told CNN on Friday. Bill Stepien, Christie's former campaign manager and deputy chief of staff, is joining the Trump campaign as its national field director, adding a heavy dose of campaign experience -- but also controversy -- to Trump's campaign.

You can read the entire story here.
It issimply fascinating to watch this cartoon caricature of a candidate blunder his way through virtually everything he does. Thank god he is able to convince himself (and his minions) that if he says something...it must be the truth.

Failure in understanding the US government: Customs and Border Patrol comes under Homeland Security, not under Transportation.
