It's not quite that bad. If she's smart and aggressive, she can craft the first year and a half of her administration so that Republican obstruction carries with it very heavy penalties. It is the kind of thing President Obama didn't do, I suspect because he wants to play fairer than the Republicans and had illusions that once they took the Senate that he could still get things done. However, given that the Republicans are now proclaiming that they are crafting their efforts to comprehensively block whatever the POTUS does and make the POTUS a one-term POTUS, the only logical approach for the POTUS is to play even rougher aiming to undercut the credibility and power of as many Republican Senators as possible so that they lose their seats.
