To me, a vote for McCain simply = Bush third term. After all that support he has been throwing @ Bush all these yrs......How is he gonna differentiate himself? And should their party be concerned?

He won't. The only way McCain can win in Nov is for Hillary or Obama to drop out of the race.

I agree with what you've said, I've heard McCain endorse Bush's Iraq policy far too many times to condider voting for him. I wish a viable 3rd party candidate (Bloomberg?) would appear because I'm not that fond of either Hillary or Obama but I absolutely will not vote for more of the status quo.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of any of them. I think McCain would beat Hillary. Obama will be much tougher. He has a lot more charisma and is more likeable.

McCains wheels are already starting to squeak loudly in the press, just like I knew they would. He is nothing more than a sacrificial lamb that was pushed hard by the liberal media at the perfect time to get all the steam he needed to win the nomination. Now that same media is sharpening the axe.

Actually, if you really look at everything McCain has done during his time in the Senate, you'll discover he is nothing like Bush.

He fell in line like everyone else did under GWB (the Bush spell perhaps?) but he's often voted opposite his party on a lot of issues. He didn't vote for the Bush tax cuts -- that's one thing. He's also been against torture right from the start. He's much more for civil liberties. He's really not like Bush. He's also a fiscal conservative.

He has also made some critical comments on how Bush handled Iraq. I believe he called Rumsfield the worst Secretary of Defense ever in 2007 and said he had no confidence in Rumsfield in 2004. He also had wanted more troops in Iraq long before Bush decided to go with the surge.

When he starts talking about putting responsibility on the Iraqis where it belongs and bringing American troops home soon I'll start listening, otherwise he's still too Bush-like for me.

The Republicans don't like McCain because he's too liberal. He doesn't support the Social Conservatives. I couldn't vote for a Social Conservative president either.

That is a fair point, his stance is still Bush-like. I'd like to hear more from him on what his goals are, short term and long term.
