Let me tell you something... New Jersey, Connecticut and New York know
Donald Trump ! They don't need tv news, he's been a household name
for 2 generations. All of Upstate, All the middle-class suburbs, Long Island,
and much of NYC proper (Staten Island, Queens, Brooklyn) will be voting
for Trump - with Giuliani's help.
In New Jersey you've got all the Republicans automatic, and they want
Christie to be AG. All middle and southern New Jersey, and Atlantic City
will vote Trump.. in CT you have all of it for Trump except parts of Hartford.
New York City is Trump's stomping grounds.. he's the one they will turn to,
even immigrants will turn to him, yes they will !
I would guess that a large percentage of Trump supporters who expect him to sweep the NE haven't been there for at least the last 20 years.
I do not expect him to sweep. However, I live 20 minutes from Manhattan and my neighborhood is upper middle class. I would say 2/3 of my neighbors are voting Trump. Trump will do better than expected but will not win due to NYC. We had my husbands bday party last weekend. I decided not to talk politics as I did not feel the need to defend myself for not voting Hillary (as I just assumed many of the wealthier NY wives would think badly of me). To my surprise, it was brought up and many were not voting HRC. Some Trump. Some not voting and some 3rd party. Not one Hillary enthusiast. If anything, the few who were seemed like they had to defend themselves and not so sure.

Talk about sweeping. I could see crooked Hillary sweeping the streets and sidewalks if she can get over that background check obstacle most cities require. Not sure she will sweep anything in the election among thoughtful voters.
I lived in NJ most of my life. Trump's a household name all right, but not a positive one.
You do know that despite the current Republican governor, NJ is one of the bluest states around, don't you? If not, please try carrying a gun there.
Lol--true. I lived in NYC for years--while Trump was on Page Six every day. He, Ivana and Marla lived their life in the newspapers--they loved it.
I never heard anyone ever say a positive thing about Trump.
Nor have I heard a positive thing said about him within the vicinity of his Florida man-of-the-people mansion.
The South and the heartland loves him? Let him move to where his following lives. I think you will find he's not interesting in living among his followers.
