You do realize not all campaign events for either candidate is held in a large venue, right? This is often done on purpose based on how long they scheduled the event ahead of time, how much ad spend, etc etc. You also do realize that this is likely defensive outcry since Hillary clearly won the debate.
I live in Raleigh, the news bias for Trump down here is tremendous. I did not even know about Hillary coming to Raleigh until after the debate last night, I heard it on NATIONAL news. Local news finally mentioned it today.
Trump comes, and they talk about it for weeks. He gets sooooo much more press, and expectations of him are so low that he gets a pass on most things. Even Lester Holt gave up on trying to get an intelligent answer out of him last night. Trump had to manufacture his own demise.

This is because Hillary's campaign often has to cancel events because nobody RSVPs for them. The news can't tell if she will be there or not.
The only exception? Charlotte Mayor, a Democrat, told Hillary not to come to Charlotte.
People are going to vote based on the job market, economy, social issues, and favor or unfavorable sentiments of the current administration. I think Obama has done a very poor job overall and it will hurt Hillary.
