Donald Trump had significant momentum before tonight's debate. Over this past week we've seen a tightening of the race, and Hillary Clinton did nothing to change the dynamic. Already this week, polling in Colorado and Pennsylvania showed the race tied and the contest in Wisconsin tightening. Republicans haven't won the later two states since 1988 and 1984, respectively. To be fair, it's highly unlikely Donald Trump will win Wisconsin, but the overall trend is irrefutable: Trump has been gaining ground on Hillary Clinton.

Hillary "should" be sweeping this race. She ain't.

BTW: this is a Yahoo op-ed piece.

This is why the dems are so desperate to say Hillary won the debate, they have to find some way to try to get her back in the race.

Trump is in a great position, and trending upwards.

I expect more fake polls like the insane one NBC did that had Hillary up by 8 points. LoL

Hillary supporters are desperate. They need something so they make up a lot of BS.

Clinton won the debate. Trump's last 30 minutes were among the worst I have seen in a debate in a long time. Her email scandal is the only thing giving him a slight chance. Please do the math on how American women will be voting. He had a well documented history of misogyny in his past and people were reminded again near the end of last night's debate. Susan Collins (R-Maine) said a month ago that she will not support Trump.

He is also in trouble with blacks, latinos, and veterans, thanks to himself after shooting himself in the foot numerous times. Then dissing a long standing tradition among Presidential candidates and refusing to release tax returns.

People can continue to be in denial if they so choose.

Have you paid attention to the recent polls? Even Minnesota's a swing state now. The only state that voted for Mondale in that rout in 1984.

Trump took in 18 million dollars in donations right after the debate.. one day... Today Trump's Melbourne Fl rally had 12 thousand that could not get in and thousands got in.. I went to a Ft Myers Fl. rally. 30 thousand went. 10 thousand got in.. lines a mile long that could not get in and they had a big overflow room with tv cameras to see Trump .. I got in.. got there almost 4 hrs early and got in to see Trump.. the woman said to me .. you made it .. getting in that is.. so I must have been lucky . Trump is picking up steam. No doubt about it.

I think in this day in age debates are useless. It turns into a useless game of zingers/one liner nonsense. For example, for a moderator to ask/spend so much time on things like birth certificates and such, turning it into a racist thing, while our nation has far more serious problems that need urgent attention/addressing.....please.

So with all the info on the web about all the candidates, hearing both talk on and on and on about their views on various media outlets/formats, etc.....why bother?

Agreed and especially this year. It's like a state of the Union address... Same crap every year and we don't get the truth. Trump couldn't put together a sentence and Hillary spewed the same policies we hear from dems every 4 years.
